Hi everyone! My beneficiary is from the Philippines, she stayed in Canada for 11 months from July 2022 until May 2023 under tourist visa. Does she needs to get Police Clearance Certificate from canada? She said that this documents maybe ask during her interview. Not sure also if this applies only to those who worked or studied abroad beyond 6months. Thanks!

Hello all My wife is applying for her citizenship based on our marriage. I had a couple questions... 1. We are in WV, I am not sure our processing center. Anyone aware of it or the processing time? 2. Are closed loop cruises ( Florida out n back to the same port) considered travel outside the country? 3. For evidence I have our 3 years of irs transcripts, joint bank statements going back a year, our joint house deed and our names on the home insurance. My birth certificate, our marriage certificate, her greencard copies and her state id copy, my divorce decree. No kids . This sound pretty good? Thanks

Has anyone recently gotten their K1 visa approved in Manila and had to schedule their CFO appt? How long did it take to get an appointment? Didi you do face to face or online seminar? If face to face, which city did you choose to have it done? Manila, Cebu or Davao? Thank you. There are no online time statistics that I can find for current wait times. I think this info will help many who are facing a near interview and are trying to guess when to schedule their flight to the U.S.

Hello! I've been researching this topic because I am looking to formally adopt a 4-year old kid that I cared for since she's still a baby and I'm still supporting to to this day. Her biological mother is my sister's ex-gf and she don't want anything to do with her because she has numerous kids and tried to abort her at least 4 times while she's still carrying her. Thankfully, she came out normal. My sister ended up taking her and because of her work, she ended up leaving the baby to me. Because of many other personal reasons, the baby ended up in my care until I immigrated to the US in 2019. While overseas, she continued to live in my house in the Philippines while she was being cared for by another sibling and my mother. I support her going to school and any other things that she need to this day. Recently, her carer is struggling with substance abuse and my other siblings didn't want to care for her and wanted to return her to her other blood relatives and I refuse to do that. My sister is unable to take her because she's not in a good position to provide for the kid. I do love this kid and I wish to have her legally instead so I can bring her in the US. I've been researching a way to do adoption and came across the Hague process. It looks like I will have to submit a form to USCIS first before doing anything. Anyone have any experience with it or any tips? I'm interested in knowing what you know as I searched the forums and came across little information about it. Thank you

Our son was born in October and he already has a US passport. The state department took all of 2 days to process and mail it. Maybe I wasted $60 on expedited service because what kind of background check can you do on a baby? Anyway, his mom is a Filipina so I sent in a ream of papers to the PCG in San Francisco for the ROB. Does anyone know how long that takes? Once we have that we can apply for his RP passport but the consulate website says that takes 6-8 weeks due to it being produced by the DFA in the RP and then mailed. I think we'll probably go to the RP DFA on his US passport and gets his RP passport there. If we can get an appointment. But just wondering how long the ROB takes if anyone has experience.
