Hi all! I'm not sure if this should go in the Consulate section or here, but my best guess is here. I have my interview friday and I'll have to drive 4-5h so I'm rechecking everything now. And sadly, I missed something. I read this sentence too fast regarding the evidence of support: 'A photocopy of the petitioner s IRS tax transcripts and any relevant W-2s must be included.'. We included his W-2s from last year, but I totally missed the tax transcripts part. So dumb!! And it apparently takes 10-15 days for it to get to him, and my interview is in... 36h.. Yippie! Now I know that when you forget something you can send it to them and if everything is all good, THEN they'll approve/deny it. But I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a chance they might 'overlook' it or not care? I absolutely hate myself for not double checking earlier, even though I did but totally read over it, but at this point I can't do anything to fix it haha.

I have been looking at some timelines and I noticed that most RFE's are received before the biometrics appointment. Is this true or did I just only see those? I'm asking because I checked one wrong box (8.61 public charge question) and I am wondering if they would even send an RFE if that is the only thing wrong with my filed documentation. Apparently I am by default subject to it and I already provided the additional info they ask there in the package like household size and income. Anyone heard about this particular oops in the form and RFE or not? I saw one topic on it, but the OP had a list of things in the RFE so I can see where they would include that part than too. Maybe someone has an educated opinion on this?

Hi! I was reading through the AoS checklist/guide because my interview is next week and I always like to know what's ahead. I just saw the medical portion, the I-693. The issue is that I got my 2nd dose of hep shots a month ago, and the third dose needs to be 6 months after. However, my issue is that my plan is to move in november, which makes the date to file AoS before february, day depending on when I'd actually land/reach PoE. That means that there's a big possiblity that I can't get my third dose, unless they allow it to be done a few weeks early. Does anyone have any experience with this? My timeline currently looks like this: - Medical + shots received 6th of August - Visa interview 13th of September - Desired moving date 2nd of November

Hello! I'm new-not-so-new here. My husband is here on an L1A visa and I will be filing a CR-1 for him in the next couple of days. I previously filed for my ex-husband a K-1 visa and all the subsequent applications and I'm worried about the timeline. In North Carolina, you have to wait a year AFTER you've moved out to file for divorce. We had separated previous to moving out so by the time I was able to actually divorce, I was already in another relationship. Our divorce finalized in late February this year and I remarried in late March. Just asking for opinions: Is there anything I should add to explain the situation or should I just file as is and let them request additional evidence if they feel the need to? Also, am I right to assume that the work document is no longer waived of fees when applied concurrently with the I-485? Thanks in advance!

USCIS not accepting Expedite Request |

I have been trying to submit our Expedite Request for our I-130 to USCIS for the past three weeks, but I've had no success. I used the secure message option in myUSCIS and uploaded a detailed request with all the necessary evidence. The request itself was clear and carefully put together: it is a single PDF with a cover letter, table of contents, detailed arguments, and a lot of evidence. However, after submitting the secure message twice and waiting 10 days each time, I received the same response from USCIS: "Unfortunately, your request will not be submitted because you do not currently have the required evidence to support the need for an expedite." I followed up with a live agent through Ask Emma, who confirmed that the evidence is in my account and correctly labeled. However, the agent couldn't explain why USCIS claimed the evidence was missing. This feels like a deliberate attempt to block people from submitting Expedite Requests or, at the very least, to make the process unnecessarily difficult. What should our next steps be? Should we try involving a Congressman or Senator, or submit the request again? Has this happened to anyone else here?
