US Immigration from Netherlands

Hello! finally after 2 years I am reunited with my husband in california and now I am busy arranging practical matters.. I need to transfer money from my dutch bank account to my new American bank account. Does anyone know the rules regarding foreign transactions? Are there any limits on the amount that I should be aware of? thank you!

Our cr-1 case was dq on September 20th. Now waiting for an interview date at the us embassy in Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Somebody familiar with their waitingtimes?

As per title. We got DQ'ed today, but the beneficiary wanted to use their married name.

Dutch passport holds both maiden and married name under "surname". Got the new passport before starting the CR1 process.

i130 is filed with married name

DS260 is filed with married name

Then, now after DQ, the beneficiary entry on the NVC website and the notification in email came with the maiden name.

If I go to IV application, it shows maiden name as clickable, then if I open the corresponding DS260 it shows married name.

I am confused why this happened and if this will have any effect on the Green Card. Beneficiary would really like to go by married name.

Did anyone ever experienced this?

Weirdest thing on Reddit, OP claims that 3(!!) immigration lawyers told her that when you check that you want to do AOS on your I-130, the foreign national (who is not in the US yet) can fly to the US once the I-130 is completed and start the I-485 as soon as they are in the US. What am I missing?

The foreign national wouldn t have an immigrant visa yet, so would use an Esta (OP mentions they are Dutch) to enter the US and start the I-485.
