US Immigration from Italy

Hello,

I filed I-90 form in Jan 2023 to replace my 10 year GC that was lost in the mail by USPS after form I-751 was approved. In the meantime, court approved my legal name change. At this point, I'd like to update my documents (driving license, SSN, bank account) and inform USCIS about the name change, but I am not sure what to do. I could either:

• Go ahead and update my documents without informing USCIS. I'm afraid this would jeopardize the pending I-90 case.
• Update my documents and send an unsolicited evidence to USCIS through my account to inform them about the name change and hopefully they'll update the name.
• Do nothing and wait an indefinite amount of time for my case to get approved

Every time I speak with somebody at the phone they are not helpful Thanks for any advice.

Hi everyone,

I filed for I-751 in February and recived some weeks ago a notice letter stating I will not have to retake fingerprints. I also received the extention letter. This morning I received an email from USPS saying they're delivering another notice letter tomorrow.

The notice is dated March 29, yet if I check on my USCIS profile, no updates show up on my case. What this notice might be about? Is it possible to be a Request For Evidence yet only after a month from filing?

In less than a month I ll be finally living in the US! However I have some question about t getting a driver license in Maryland :

1) I necessarily need to be able to drive, so I was thinking about getting an international driver license which I already used when I visited as a tourist, would that be valid even though this time I would be considered an immigrant?

2) for what I understood I need to wait for an actual green card to obtain a valid driver license there, is that correct? Or would a pending AOS and SSN be enough?

My fianc tried to talk to the MVA but they had no idea what he was talking about and were confused on what to suggest.

3) please help!

Please advice where to post if this is not the correct section.

We are trying to fill out the DS-260 but the section for "City of Birth" needs 3 more characters to match the city on my applicants documents.

Our options seem to be to shorten "San" to "S." or leave the last few letters of the city off?

I am American and my husband, who is Italian, has had a green card since 2011.His green card is expiring in June and he also had his wallet stolen a few months ago with the green card in it.

We want to leave the country for vacation in July and he even wanted to go for short trip out of the country in May.

We are also moving to Florida in June and he may need his documentation in order to get a driver's licence.

I am pretty sure he is eligible to apply for citizenship but we never looked into it.

What are our options?

Would an application for citizenship work?

What about the application for green card renewal?

Assuming that both options would work what are the disadvantages to getting citizenship?
