Hi all, I entered the US on December 31, 2022. I know that I will not receive my Green Card until a few months but I was wondering if there was a way to follow the production of it on an application or a website. Thanks a lot !

Hi everyone, I'm currently collecting the documents for the NVC, to be ready when we get our NOA2. I need Police Certificates from Germany and Switzerland (amongst others), and I am wondering if I need: 1a) the overauthentication of the German certificate of conduct 1b) the issuing of an Apostille for the German certificate of conduct, 2) the Swiss excerpt authenticated by the Federal Chancellery, Or if the "basic versions" are accepted by the NVC? Thanks in advance for sharing your experience!

hi the community I hope you guys are doing well Mid November I requested to change embassy because the embassy of my country France was and still is pretty busy and backlogged! The Switzerland Embassy in Bern accepted to take over our application and within couple days the application arrived electronically in Switzerland! I paid the MRV and did my medical received all the instructions! But in order to get an interview date the embassy needs to get the paper file application that has not arrived yet US Embassy in Paris said that they sent the paper file couple weeks ago to the Switzerland embassy. i m starting to be concerned that they have lost my application Do you guys know what is the normal timeframe for the embassy switch? Does the application goes back to the United States and its sent to the new embassy? Thanks

Is there anyone here who has a recently approved EB I-140 and is waiting for your case to be sent to the Department of State's NVC? Is it a few days, one week, or even on the order of months? I hope to just get a rough idea of how things are going for this step. Hopefully there will not be any more cases get stuck in USCIS reported in this topic here: From the topic there I read that this is a "known issue: "There is a known issue with some approved petitions transferring from USCIS to NVC. USCIS has made changes to their system and is working with DOS to fix the remaining petitions" (From point 16 at https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/AILA/AILA-Agenda-06-09-2022.pdf ) But I suspect that this "known issue" at TSC is still not resolved yet, so I'm worried that it will happen to some of us, it's just so unsettling. I asked a live agent (at Emma) about how long it takes for a case from being approved to be sent to NVC, but they always replied me it takes 90 days for NVC to create a case, which is not what I asked. They also don't seem to know that NVC belongs to the Department of State...

Hello, I hope you guys can help me with this I have a J-1 student visa and my program starts on 1/24/2022. My parents want to go on vacation in the US to visit but mostly to see where I ll be staying for the next 5 months. They have their ESTA. But my dad didn't wait and booked flights for December 25, 2022 at 10am French time, which would get us to the US on the morning of December 25. Now, I saw on the internet that I must not enter the US more than 30 days prior to the start date of my program. What was my surprise when I realized that between December 25 and January 24 there are exactly - if my maths are correct - 30 days if you count January 24 and 31 if you don t. I know I could get into trouble if I arrive too early so my question is: is entering the US on December 25 too early? Thanks a lot for your help, I m really confused with this
