US Immigration from China

My wife and I began her GC application in 2019, and in March of 2020, she received her I-130 approval. However, that's right when COVID hit our area of the world, and the consulate paused interviews for a while. In the meantime, we decided not to move to the US at this time, given the way things have gone down (not that it's any better here, it's terrible!). Her one-year deadline to move ahead is coming up, but we'd rather abandon the GC this time and try again later on down the road if we want.

Do we need to formally withdraw her application, or can we just let it run out? Thanks!

i renewed my NYS DL with the i551 stamp, back when my i751 was still pending, as a result, the license says temporary visitor in the back,

On DOS website, it says temporary drivers license is not valid for using as a Proof of Identity.

should i update my license before i apply for passport?

does anyone has similar experience ?

The interview date was 2/8/21,

EAD AP date was 7/15/2020

The experience was, we arrived at 300 N Los Angeles at 230pm for a 245pm appt. Went thru ground floor xray, go to 8th floor, go to the check in window, take temperature and wait to be called. Was called finally at 350pm after a 1 hr sit and do nothing.

Nice younger gentleman greeted us at DOOR 2, walked about 20m to his cubicle office. He was nice enough to apologise for the wait due to more difficult cases.

Asked for marriage cert, Passports and whether we have anything else for him.

Handed 1040, House grant deed, HOA, Bk Statement, photos, Insurance docs and affidavit from colleague.

Asked him whether he needs any more medical updates, he said if you have any .. please. Handed over Additional Vaccination record from USCIS doctor in sealed envelope. this is the I-693 part 5-7 and 10 for vaccinations part only. We did this in abundance of caution in case USCIS needed it.

He appeared to be in a rush, checking off what we handed him, then quickly asked like 20 Are you terrorist, member of ... traffic human etc... Mostly NO answer type of questions.

THEN he said.. that was easy... I cant approve you right now, as I have to do background check and verify the K1 file is consistent with the 485 file.

Again rushing.. he said well probably you will hear something today.... and thank you for coming...

wham bam.. in and out in like 15mins.

By the evening at around dinner time, we received the approved email from USCIS..... now awaiting physical card.

what a K1 to 485 journey.

im thinking applying passport on the date of my up coming oath ceremony. but i want to fill out the form first

is there requirement like you have to be a citizen AT THE TIME of using the online tool to filling the form, because i saw information about they will save the information in the system

Our ROC package is done. We're going to do one final look-over tonight and then ship it via UPS tomorrow. Here's what we have. Does this look complete?

I'm paranoid I missed something super obvious and will get this BEAST of an application sent back to me. Our window opened Feb 7 so we'll ship Feb 9 (tomorrow) to be safe. Hopefully USCIS will get it by Friday and then we don't need to worry about it for a while.

- 2018 and 2019 federal tax transcripts (haven't filled 2020 yet)

- County document showing me and my wife as joint owners of our house
