  1. I delayed for several years while waiting for COVID to calm down. All you need to do is log into your NVC account once a year and that's good enough to keep your case active.
  2. That's all. You're all providing such an amazing service and I love how supportive this community is. Great job everyone.
  3. Sure, that's legit. I just didn't want to enter anything "wrong"
  4. Yes, it's with a live agent. You can use your driver's license as well, you just need someone to mail you that along with your social security card. Use DHL or something. But again, if you upload your 2022 tax return then you don't even need anything from the IRS.
  5. Are you talking about creating an ID.me account? That was a real PITA. You need to use a VPN to get the online transcript thing to work. Then, you can tell it that you don't have a US phone number and you'll get the option to do a video call verification. You'll need to show a document with your SSN — most likely your social security card — and then some other forms of ID. I used my DL and passport. You need all of these things in your physical possession, so if you don't have your SS card, get it. But if you upload your 2022 tax filing, then you shouldn't even need to do all this.
  6. I haven't submitted anything yet, still just collecting stuff and uploading. I'll submit what I have once I have it and we'll see what they say. I have a few 1099s from my US bank accounts and have uploaded those as proof of domicile. I won't have a job or an apartment yet for domicile, so I'm just going to have to rely on other things -- US bank / credit card accounts, voting record, permanent mailing address in the US with active driver's license, and our temporary residence permits for the Czech Republic (implying that we don't intend to be here permanently).
  7. Thanks! And yes, we're just spinning the wheels back up now with the NVC process after sitting on our IR-1 approval since March 2020, right when covid arrived. I've got my IRS tax transcript from last year and will also submit my 2022 tax filing, just getting started with that now.
  8. Only the most recent year's tax transcript is required. The other two are optional.
  9. Good luck! It's always hard to be apart, but hopefully it'll be quick for you. My wife and I are going to do our best to not consider that option & wait it out abroad together.
  10. That's a good way to prove intent to domicile. Congrats on getting a job offer! Are you moving to the US ahead of your spouse or just banking on them getting a quick interview?
  11. Form DS-260 asks for the petitioner's phone number and only accepts US formats. What if the petitioner lives abroad and doesn't have a US phone number? Should they give a family member's number in the US?
