Hi there, We accidentally wrongly filed an i90 instead of a i751 and are now filing the i751 6 months late with cover letter explaining the mistake. We had planned to travel outside of the country but now are concerned with the possibility of not having the receipt from i751 when reentering the country in 6 weeks. The i90 receipt does say that the green card extends for 2 years, but this was obviously not the correct form to file and will be rejected eventually. Does anyone know if my wife would be kept from entering the country if we did not yet have the i751 receipt? Thanks so much!

Hello I had my interview on 11th September, the consular officer gave me the white paper for 221-g refusal and asked for a joint sponsor because my husband had only 300 dollars less than their requirements, he had 21407 on his w2 and an additional income of about 4500 dollars, which she did not look at it. BTW I sent back my joint sponsor i864 form with tax returns and w2 for 2022, with my passport on 13th September which was received by them on 18th. also, submitted it all on the NVC website on 15th September. there were 2 times updates on my application but it is not approved yet. How long it takes time to get approval for my visa?

Hello everyone, I have been trying to find an answer online for this but it seems so rare that I can t. My fianc and I sent a personal cheque payment with our petition to USCIS, we ve received our NOA2 approval notice and are onto the Consulate portion, but I realized that USCIS never cashed our cheque payment for the USCIS filing fee. What should I do? I m worried this may affect our petition approval with the consulate or furthering the application? Has this happened to anyone else? Thank you for any help or insight!

Hey folks, So just wanted to report in some of my experiences of crossing the border by land with an I-751 pending. I got the 48 month extension letter shortly after I applied and hit the Nexus office to get my profile updated. Once my GC expired, I continued to cross as normal with my expired GC and Nexus and I wasn't asked for my extension letter for the first 10-15 crossings after it expired. So I stopped bothering to bring the extension letter, it's pretty flimsy and crossing the border several times a week, it's already getting pretty bent and dogeared up. So I started leaving it at home, for the first few months, no issues, crossed into the US as normal. Then this past week they've started mentioning my GC is expired and asked for the extension letter, even though my GC shows as valid in my nexus profile. The CBP lady was very stern and threatened me with a $548 fee if I cross again without the extension letter, she said she gave me a 'one time pass' this time. Anyways, I've since started carrying it through again and the subsequent entry they checked it again, but I don't know how long this letter going to last. Given I work up in Canada and cross a lot, I need durable travel documents, and the extension letter is anything but that. Anyways, I'm minded to self-file a WoM given igoyougoduke's success, just to get the 10 year GC which won't fall apart on me. xD Anyways, I'm curious to hear your stories of travelling by land with the extension letter. Do CBP check yours? Was having your Nexus updated enough to go without it? Also curiously, the CBSA still think my GC is expired, and occasionally when I cross they mention 'oh you have an expired immigration document on your profile', I explain to them the ridiculousness of the I-751 and they let me through without hassle. It's interesting that the CBSA even care that a Canadian citizen's foreign immigration document is expired but w/e I guess.

Hello, im using a co-sponsor who has filed their 2022 taxes with their spouse. Do I have to get tax info from that spouse as well as the other I-134 supporting documents, or will just having the co-sponsors documents and I-134 be enough?
