  1. I'm EB-1A and had two work contracts through 2024 when I thought I'd be in the U.S. by then. By the time I get my interview, those contracts will have lapsed. Is it important for EB-1A to have new employment offers that weren't in the original petition when I first applied for my I-140? I have the intention to work, but I don't have any contracts for 2025 yet. At this rate, I probably won't be in the U.S. until then. DQ is Oct. 2023.
  2. I’m EB1 PD Aug. 2023, DQ Oct. 2023. Also hoping this progress is a good sign. Would love to have a date before the end of the year.
  3. Great news, congrats! So I suppose it's safe to say Montreal has moved up to September 2022.
  4. Was your DQ date still September 2022? If so, that's great news - We might still be on track with 2 months of backlog per month of processing right now.
  5. Do we know if the London embassy would accept a transfer from a case where the individual is not a resident or born? I live in Canada and the backlog is really bad. Is it even worth asking?
  6. I got DQ'd on Nov. 2. And now the long wait for an interview in Montreal begins.
  7. I DQ'd yesterday under EB-1, PD of August 2023. Also with Montreal. Should I be expecting to sit on my hands for the next two years, too? Is EB-1, EB-2, EB-3 all lumped together in the interview wait order?
  8. I have an approved I-140 under EB-1 classification. I submitted my DS-260 on CEAC online and physically mailed my requested Civil Documents via USPS to NVC at Sterling, VA, with the Checklist provided. Tracking showed delivered to their PO Box on Oct. 4, so going on four weeks tomorrow. Still haven't been DQ'd and no RFE. Should I be worried? Does the NVC Timeline on their website only apply to electronic applications for family-based applications on CEAC?
  9. I have to physically mail the Civil Documents to NVC. Everything is Letter sized paper which is fine, except for my Birth Certificate, which is Legal length. If I shrank the Legal size to fit on Letter paper, do we think NVC will give me trouble, or should it be fine since it's a photocopy anyway? I figure it's easier for them to scan everything (and easier for me to ship) if it's all consistent in Letter paper. I know I'm totally overthinking it!
  10. So if I was born there, would that make me a national by default?
  11. I know typically you need a police certificate from every country that you're a national or resident of for over 6 months; and over 12 months for past countries of residence. I have lived in Canada my entire adult life. I left Hong Kong when I was a child. Would I still need a police certificate from Hong Kong, even if I left as a child? It's not very clear. I was under the impression that they only care about countries in which I have lived since I was 16 and up. Thanks in advance.
  12. You're right. It wasn't really a "Welcome Letter" but rather a Fee Invoice - and yes, there was a checklist. Would that be it? Does that mean that my PD is current or almost current? I only ask because my attorney warned me I could be waiting for many months because I was born in Hong Kong and Trump issued an Executive Order a couple of years back requiring DOS to lump Hong Kong with Mainland China vs. ROW the way it was done before. Not sure if that applies to my case. The fact that they're asking for my money and all these documents makes me think I might be coming up sooner than later?
  13. I just submitted my DS-260 on CEAC via my approved I-140 petition. I don't see a Civil Documents column nor an option to upload the documents. Will I be getting a letter at some point instructing me on how to send in the required documents to NVC? Or do I just have to do it proactively? The email confirmation I got just says they received my DS-260, and that everything will be reviewed together, but no instructions on when or how to send in the Civil Documents, or whether an online option will be made available at some point. I was also told that I'd have to wait for a visa to become available, however, CEAC has already asked/accepted my payment and asked me to complete the DS-260. Does that mean my visa is available or almost available? I'm EB-1, but because I was born in Hong Kong, I wasn't sure if my PD would be with China or ROW because of the Trump Executive Order. Does anyone with experience know what steps will follow?
  14. Has anyone received a Premium Processing email notice where the Petitioner is a person's name (not a company) and it shows the below? Petitioner is John Doe while Beneficiary is Doe, John. I was hoping to find out if I was the only one or if my name as the petitioner was written backwards. Thanks in advance. Petitioner: JOHN DOE Petitioner Mailing Address: XXX Classification: XXX Priority Date: XXX Beneficiary: DOE, JOHN
