US Immigration from Canada

I've been wondering, what happens if you become a naturalized US citizen and move back to your home country? I've been considering filing a N400 this year, but I haven't been able to find exactly what happens in this scenario. I know as a long time permanent resident I'd pay an exit tax if I moved back. You have to file taxes/tax forms to the US every year regardless where you live, right? Is there anything else that would happen?

Hi everyone, I have a question about deadlines. I most likely will receive my NOA2 in February. My question is once I get to the NVC stage how long can I wait to pay the fees and complete the DS 160? We're just wanting to delay the process so I'm moving no earlier than August or September.

Hi everyone, I am a US citizen who has been residing in Canada for over five years. We just received our I-130 approval and intro letter from the NVC. I have a question regarding the Affidavit of Support requirements, and cannot seem to find any answers or experiences from others.

I am employed by a Canadian company and will continue to be employed with them working remotely when we move to the US. I have been employed with them for year(s) and will have a letter confirming I will continue to be employed remotely and paid X salary while living in the US. I have filed taxes every year since I've lived in Canada.

Will my Canadian income be enough for the Affidavit of Support? I am worried that because the income does not come from the US, it will not be enough.

If it isn't enough, does NVC send RFEs for joint sponsors, or immediately refuse the application? I can have a joint sponsor no problem, but it would be easiest to avoid it if we can..

Does anyone have personal experience with this, and if so, did it happen to be through Montreal?

Filed I-751 in July 2022, which was last updated July 14 to show fingerprints were taken.

Filed N-400 in June 2023 under 3 year rule with the I-751 pending. The status is 'being actively reviewed' on June 3, with nothing new since then.

Estimated time is 'longer than expected to process'.

California Service Center, SF Field Office. Seems really odd since many people are getting interviews within months. Any thoughts on what I can do?

We sent out our application a few days ago and we're iffy about me visiting him in the US at June so we were wondering if he would be allowed to leave the US for a day or 2 to visit me here in Canada instead of me going over to the US for a few days?
