US Immigration from Canada

Hi everyone, I have a bit of a marriage related predicament. Yes I'm "asking for a friend" (I'm person A in this case)

Person A:

• US Green Card Holder
• Expected to get US Citizenship through naturalization (5 year residency requirement will be met in June) by the end of 2024, unless something catastrophic happens.
• Canadian citizen.

Person B:

• Foreign Citizen, attending graduate school in Canada, holds Canadian student visa.
• Expected to get Post Graduate Work Permit for ~3 years after completing grad school.
• Apparently is part of a family relative petition that was submitted ~3-4 years ago. Petition was done for Person B's parents: B's mother's sister is a US Citizen, and petitioned for B's parents. B was included as a dependent.
• Applied for B1/B2 tourist visa in Canada, and has an interview scheduled for later in 2024. B has several extended family relatives in the US that they want to visit, as well as for tourism.

A and B plans on getting married, but will only do so after:

• A gets their US Citizenship
• B gets their Canada PGWP to extend their stay in Canada, as A is able to regularly visit Canada.

My questions are:

1. How does the pending family relative petition play into this? B is currently 24 and have potentially been aged out (need to confirm when exactly they submitted the petition however).
2. Is B even eligible for the B1/B2 visa that they applied for? (I suspect they might deny B's case because there has been an intent to permanently immigrate to the US, or am I wrong?)

My conditional green card (K1 visa) expires in May '24 and I am preparing for filling Removal of Conditions I-751 currently. I moved to different city in the same state in 2023 where I applied for my green card I-485 initially. I updated my address on USCIS website in mid Jan'24 and the status only said submitted all this while and today I checked the record in no more shown on the USCIS under Address change submissions.

I will be using my new address for the I-751 and even the older address my in-laws are residing. I am hoping I do not have to do any other steps in order to notify USCIS about address change as currently I do not have any active case being processed. Does USCIS notify by email or letter to acknowledge the address change without any active case (receipt number)? Appreciate any feedback or suggestions if you had similar situation.

I'm new here, therefore apologies if this topic was already discussed. I wasn't able to locate.

We submitted our I-129f documents in August 2023. Received our first NOA1 August 31, 2023.

No updates since then.

I would preferably want to enrol my child 7 years old (who is also immigrating with me ) for the 2024 school year while we are waiting for the K1, K2 visas.

my questions are as follows:

1) Can I enrol my child while visiting the US and while waiting on my Visa ?

2) If yes, would this impact my visa application negatively?

I don't intend to illegally work or marry my partner in US. However, I would prefer longer visitations to the US and enrol my child to a public school.

Once I hear from the USCIS, I will return back to my current location, Canada and proceed with the interview etc.

Could someone kindly provide a sample of a sworn affidavit? My partner and I recently got married but currently live in different countries; she resides in the States while I'm in Canada. As young individuals, we lack extensive proof of our relationship, but we have gathered some evidence, including photos, plane tickets, beneficiary for retirement accounts, joint account details, credit card statements with her authorization, and some shared bills.

While we understand that affidavits may not carry significant weight on their own, we believe that including them could strengthen our case. We would greatly appreciate it if someone could provide a sample with sensitive information appropriately concealed. Thank you sincerely for your assistance.
