| Petitioner filed taxes as divorced, will this cause issues? |

My husband filed his taxes and labeled as "divorced" since technically he got divorced and we got married shortly after. Since I'm living in Canada while our CR-1 is being actively reviewed, there was no way he could add me since I don't have a SSN. So he filed as divorced. Is this going to cause issues during my interview or even during the next steps? I'm so nervous this is going to backfire, but he thinks it'll be fine. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. If it matters, we're 10 months into the wait, got married in April last year, filed in August.

Not sure if this post is allowed as it is tangentially related to my US immigration. Please feel free to remove if found to be irrelevant. This is a question to former Indian citizens who moved to US from Canada as greencard holders, gained Canadian citizenship after moving to US, and then surrendered their Indian passports in US through VFS - Could you please advise what the stamp that CGI put in your passport says? I surrendered mine to CGI NY through VFS and they put a stamp that states as holder acquired USA citizenship. I of course never claimed this, but this appears to have been done in error by CGI. The word USA is part of the stamp and so it maybe that it is not an error, and they have no other stamp so they put that for everyone. Anyway only realised this error 9 months after I got that stamp. I contacted VFS and they asked to contact CGI NY which I have also done, but a week has passed with no response. Could you please advise what your stamp says? It s kind of scary because it looks like I claim to be a US citizen. I am also worried about how this will affect my OCI application.

Is there an issue when you enter into the US and your green card is expiring in 3 weeks and still waiting for the extension letter to arrive? Background: My wife and I submitted her removal of conditions (CR1 2-year green card from Canada) in May and her current green card expires July 31st. We're visiting Canada from July 3 to July 8. Will the US border be an issue entering back into the US when her green card will expire 3 weeks later? Her green card will still be valid, but we might not have the extension letter yet. Should we still go on the holiday? I'm worried the agent at the border will give her a hard time and not let her into the US with a green card that is going to expire 3 weeks later.

Hi guys I have a quick question. How do I change my DS-160 after booking an appointment? Could I just print out a new DS-160 and bring this to my interview? I called a few numbers and I wasn't able to get a clear answer. I am just wondering how much of an issue will this be at the interview.

Hey Folks, Just some advice/caution here. I received my first US passport and received my CON back (the original). Unfortunately, they sent the original back in first-class envelope, which got slightly folded/curled in my mailbox. It doesn't appear to be permanently damaged, I have a heavy text book sitting on it now to flatten it out. I just really wish the department of state had sent it as a with a DO NOT BEND sticker on it. But there was no way to indicate that at the USPS application. Not sure if anyone else has had this problem...DOS needs to take better care of our CONs.
