US Immigration from Canada

Not sure if I m posting in the right spot. If not, I apologize. I m currently in Ohio trying to obtain my nursing license. The Ohio nursing board requires a CES report from CGFNS. CGFNS says their system won t allow them to do the report since I ve already written the NCLEX and Ohio doesn t require a report for licensure by reciprocity . But I can t apply by reciprocity, I have to apply by examination as per Ohio s rules since I took my exam in Canada. Stupid rule really.

My question is, did anyone else experience such a roadblock? And if so, how did they grant you your license? Literally stuck between a rock and a hard place as the board needs the CES report but CGFNS is saying their system can t do it.

I just saw my status change to interview cancelled and notice has been sent out. So I m waiting. (OKC was our office).

has anyone had this experience recently? If you have what was your experience in getting it rescheduled?

Just really confused. We just got our letters of our appointment interview 2 weeks ago I ll let everyone know what the notice says when it comes.

A question for my fellow Canadian who has an experience with this. Can you still get a TN visa with a pending spousal I-130?

I have a question. We just received a rejection notice question because they said that they payment amount is incorrect. I wrote the check for $765.00 for the Form I751 and Biometric Fee. I read that that was the correct total. Am I completely wrong? I even looked on the the website so I am confused. Also they said that we have to send everything in again. They already have numbers typed at the bottom of these forms. Is it ok to send the same copies?

So on Saturday I received a Request For Initial Evidence for my I-485 asking for my birth certificate, which I had already submitted a copy of with my AOS application.

My biometrics appointment is scheduled for the 20th of October just to give you an idea of what stage we're at, (receipt for AOS application is August 6th).

Apparently USCIS is doing this a lot to numerous people right now, I tried the Ask Emma thing on their website and waited an hour to be connected to a live agent only for them to tell me they can't give me further information and basically to just read the RFIE lol

My question is, do I need to submit a certified copy of the birth certificate or will a scanned copy of my long form birth certificate suffice?

Its a United Kingdom, Scotland birth certificate, its an official long form extract (parents names, occupations at time of birth, address at time of birth etc., stamped, signed) as outlined in the requirements on their website as my parents lost my original before my K1 interview.

It doesn't specify on the RFIE itself that it has to be certified but I don't want to take any chances considering they've asked for this again after already receiving it.

Also is it best to courier it to them or to submit it online with the myUSCIS account?
