I married a US citizen and we went through all the fun that comes with immigration. We filed for myself (Wife) and my daughter(step-child of sponsor) to immigrate. From the process perspective it never looked like the two were merged, until we got to the affidavit of support, which the sponsor got to fill just one for both of us (and a single fee). Great! Fast forward and my daughter's case required less documents so it was DQ'd back in March. Mine, with all the requests for duplicates and what not took many months more to DQ. There is roughly 6 months between the two DQ dates. Now what we've run into is my daughter got her IL last week for an interview in Nov but nothing on mine (I'm assuming I'll be 6 or so months after if we go by the lovely spread sheet maintained here on the website which I appreciate!). My dilemma is shouldn't these be done together? If we do her interview in Nov and mine is 6 or so months after her Visa will have expired. I'm a little at a loss what to do. Anyone have any experience with this? Google and searching this forum, I haven't found any relavant information that could help steer us in the right direction. Thank you! Edit: I hope I posted this in the right place.

Is it possible for a medical exam to be done in one day? I just got interview appointment for November 2, 2021. It gives me a little over 2 weeks. Iwas told by the NVC that they always give you 1 month advance notice. The problem is I am in the US and just got my COVID vaccine so I have to quarantine for 14 days when I arrive back to Canada which only gives me 1 day to get medical done. Should I reschedule? If I do, how long is the wait for a new appointment? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Hello guys, I am about to file for adjustment of status for my wife. She came thru K1. Will she need to get the Covid test before I file for her AOS? She came before October 1st and I am planning to use the medical exam record she got before coming to the US. Thanks

Hello, I am almost ready to file for my AOS. I am the beneficiary and am adjusting from TN status. My husband is the US citizen. For the 2020 tax year he made approximately 29 00 (using the adjusted gross income (line 11 of his 1040). For 2021 - halfway through the year he switched from part time to full time. I estimated his current expected annual income to be 31 500 (using his last gross income on salary, then multiplying his new hours worked per week for the remainder of the year). My question is with his employment income verification letter it state he is now working full time (40 hours) per week with his hourly pay rate. This amount equals roughly 35 000 year. Will they look at this and think there is a discrepancy from multiplying these numbers and thinking 35 000 does not match the 31 500 we had? I was thinking of putting a comment in the additional information, that the 31 500 is the expected annual income for 2021. Because he switched from part time to full time, the expected annual income is 35 000 for 2022. Or should I just put the 35 000 for expected annual income? Thanks for all of your advice, because of this forum I have felt confident to do all of this paperwork on our own!
