Hello! Just want to ask my fellow K1 Visa filers if you have received any Packet 3 letter in the mail recently?

I checked on our case on the CEAC tracker and it said "ready" on November 2, 2021. I was just wondering if any of you who has the same timeline already got their Packet 3 letter in the mail?

Thank you!

Hey! Does anyone know where to send additional information to? Long story short we went to Montreal on 10/13. My husband was told he was good, they took his passport said they would process it by the end of the week and he got the paperwork to track his passport. When I looked at his status a week later it said refused. We or our lawyer have not received any additional info so I emailed the consulate at their Montreal-iv-dv@state.gov email and yesterday (two weeks later) they are asking for info. Info which was subumitted prior to getting docs approved (previous addresses, work experience, travel etc.). I sent what they wanted to that Montreal email but is there another one I should send additional info to? To say this is frustrating is an understatement. TIA.

Moving out of State During Removal of Conditions Timeframe

My green card will be expiring in March, so my husband and I were originally planning to file to remove conditions as early as possible in December. However, my husband is getting out of the military, and it looks like we will probably be moving out of state in January (from VA to FL), but the timeline is not set in stone (we're moving back to his hometown regardless, we just don't know the exact timeline since we're waiting on the military to hit the "go button", and we're still on waitlists for an apartment that will hopefully be available in January so we can't really move until we secure a place to live).

I was originally thinking we could still file in December, keep our physical address the same, and change the mailing address to either a PO box near where we plan to live, or have it sent to my husband's grandparents who live there (who could open the mail on our behalf and let us know what the contents are?), but then I remembered that there is a biometrics appointment and a chance we may receive an RFE or an interview request. It would be extremely difficult for me to travel back to Virginia to do this once we move (especially since Covid hit when I was trying to change the name on my passport, so it's still in my maiden name), so I was thinking we may have to just wait until we move, but I'm worried our move may end up being delayed (we won't really be able to postpone our stay in Virginia longer than February, but we may have to find a way if we can't secure an apartment in time). Plus I feel like having addresses in 2 states may be a red flag for USCIS.

Would it be better to just file as soon as possible, submit a change of address when we move, sign up for mail forwarding, and hope it gets sent to our new address in Florida? Or would it be likely that they will still try to set me up with appointments in Virginia?
I'm currently leaning towards waiting until we move to submit, since the holidays will probably delay the process into January anyway (earliest we can submit is December 18), but then again I'm worried about our move being delayed and not having enough time to submit.
I read a couple stories of people being able to just go to their nearest USCIS office once they move if they receive an appointment for their previous location, but the closest one in-state is 4-5 hours away from where we plan to live, so we can't exactly pop over real quick to have it sorted out unless there's a good chance that it will work. The closest one is 3.5 hrs away but is in Alabama and I'm not sure if I can go to a different state for this as it may be out of their jurisdiction? I tried searching for forum posts but most stories are either from several years ago, or the people involved are moving close to where they used to live. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Is this enough supporting evidence for I-134 in Montreal?

We're preparing for my fianc e's interview, and I want to make sure our financial paperwork is all in order. I've combed the consulate reviews and this forum, and it seems like they usually don't ask for much there, but I don't want us to be unprepared if they need something more.

I'm disabled and my SSDI payments are not enough to qualify to sponsor my fianc e on my own, so we have my aunt, whom I currently live with, as a co-sponsor. We'll both be submitting an I-134 even though hers is the one that matters.

For supporting evidence from me, we have:

- Current SSDI Benefit Verification Letter (with 2020 amounts)

- 2021 SSDI Cost of Living increase letter (with new 2021 amounts)

- 2020 1099 (with 2020 SSDI income totals)

- Birth certificate (proof of U.S. citizenship)

From my aunt, we have:

- 2020 tax transcript

- 2020 1040
- Birth certificate (proof of U.S. citizenship)

My aunt's income is more than enough for our required household size, so we shouldn't need to list assets, bank accounts, etc., but my aunt is retired. Do we need to include any other proof of income besides her taxes?

Taxes while on AOS (Foreign Earned Income)

Hi Everyone,

Just planning for 2022 Tax filing season (2021 Tax Year). I filed AOS Family-based married to a USC in July 2021. I entered the US in April 2021. I worked remotely for a Canadian company with no US presence and deposited to a CAD bank account from April 2021 to Nov 2021. I received my EAD in Nov 2021 and started working for a US company in Dec 2021.

1. I meet the IRS tax resident substantial presence test. Do I file as a nonresident alien for 2021 Tax Year? I am still on AOS.

2. Do I qualify for the Foreign Earned Income Inclusion? That is, I will pay Canada all the taxes for my Canadian remote work in 2021. I do not believe I will pay IRS the same tax in the US since double taxation is not allowed and I am a nonresident alien.

Did anybody have a similar experience in the past that you d like to share? Thanks!
