US Immigration from Canada

Hi everyone, I noticed there are very few posts about family-based applicants waiting for an interview at Montreal and wanted to make this post to see if anyone has gotten their interview letter yet. It would be great if you could share which category you are in and when you were DQ'd. I'll start: I'm in F3, DQ'd July 2020.

Also, I was looking through the Montreal Consular Updates and noticed this:

In September 2021, Montreal was still using the "tiered" system, so that means they prioritized IR1/IR2/IR5 and K visas, which were DQ'd in late 2020 (as seen below - this screenshot is from Sep 9th, 2021).

However, the newest update on the consular update website says, "As of December 1, 2021, most Immediate Relative and fianc (e) visa cases being scheduled for interview in Montreal were documentarily qualified at the National Visa Center in October 2021." So in about 3 months, Montreal managed to get through a year's worth of backlogs for immediate relative cases? If I'm reading this correctly, then maybe they could be scheduling more family preference cases in the upcoming months. But, do keep in mind that family preference cases have limits on how many they can issue per year, so Montreal may still be backlogged for a while.

Let's see what happens next year.

I am wondering what the implications are of being engaged while awaiting the F2B or F1 visa? Secondly, what about if living with partner (not married) but being considered common law by Canada?

In Ontario, Canada, two people are considered common law partners if they have been continuously living together in a conjugal relationship for at least three years.

Would anyone know if any of these statuses have any impact on the application?

Ive read allot of people having issues with ordering a police certificate. Could anyone please explain to me what i need to ask for at the police station regarding exactly what i need on the police certificate please.

My husband will be immigrating with his 2 small children from Canada. I am hoping I can get any advice or insight on what the process looks like with children (4) & (5). Thank you in advance for your help.

I am planning to move ahead and apply for my citizenship. My field office is Philly. I know I will have to go there again for my citizenship interview. However, does anyone know if we have to go back to the same office we are interviewed at, to take our oath? I don't really want to go back to Philly again after the interview process.
