I am a Canadian citizen engaged to a US citizen. I am currently in the US as a visitor (no visa as Canadians don't need a visa to enter typically). Can my fiance and I start the application while I am here and will I be able to stay the 180 days Canadians are usually allowed while the process starts? I see on the application it asks about a I-94 record number. Do I need something like that if I want to start the process while visiting. I have been searching online for answers and everything is really unclear. If anyone has first hand experience or knows for certain please let me know. Thanks in advance!

I am still waiting for my green card to be approved (I-485/1-130 pending). I have a valid EAD and my current US employer sponsored me to take a corporate training course which subsequently enrolled me to a US university. Does anyone know if this will jeopardize my AOS application (marriage-based)? The employer is paying 100% of the tuition. I was told in the past that enrolling in a US college or university while your green card is pending is not allowed. Does anyone know or can find anything official about this? I googled it and cannot find any so hoping to get someone who has direct experience or knowledge about this. Thanks. Note: I adjusted from B2 (Tourist Visa)

Hello, First of all, I would like to thank you for sharing any information you have related to the progress of your visa process. This platform has been a useful resource for me and many, and I want to thank you for that. As the post title suggests, I have applied for Green Card under F11 category. my PD is 7-Dec-2015 and my documents were DQ'ed on 1-Feb-2022. I submitted documents early 2021 before they were qualified in 2022. I have a couple questions: - How is the interview date notified? Is it through email or a letter? If I recall correctly, all communications were through email.
- Are the photos taken in 2021 still valid? Would I need to get new photos once I get the interview date?
- What other documents would I need to refresh or renew since it has already been more than a year since the submission date?
I would appreciate any information you could share that will be relevant to my case. Thanks!

Hey Guys, A question for ya all if you guys know or can explain. Currently a Permanent Resident with a Green Card- applied i-130 for a Canadian born unmarried over 21 child over 5 years ago (2017) still under process. Want to file for a USA citizenship n-400 If the citizenship process is completed and the petitioner become citizen of USA before i-130 is approved what will the category of i-130 (would still be "filed by PR GC holder") Do you have to inform USCIS in writing that the petitioner of form i-130 is a US Citizen now Would the filed i130 classification change for Permanent Resident to filed by a USA Citizen. I think it will not - I just want to make sure that there is no mix up at the that end (meaning Form i-130). I hope I didn't confuse ya all thanks s

Hello, Using this platform to see if anyone is or has been in the same boat. My spouse was sponsored for an EB3 VISA. after a year of waiting for an interview, it happened in Montreal this past August 22nd. I wasn t able to provide my medical as my doctor has postponed my appointment because of covid. We attended the interview, my spouse received an approval right away, and I was refused and presented with a 221g refusal letter, due to lack of medical. That is understandable. The medical was submitted to them electronically two days after the interview (Aug 24th). So far no news and they have my passport. As per their page, there was an update made on the file the 16th of Sept (8 business days ago). But nothing yet. I am wondering if I should get concerned? Anyone has been through something similar? thank you, J
