Hi Everyone/My experts team, I have a question from my VisaJourney trusty colleagues: Statement of Facts before the question: I have applied (Form i-130) in 2017 - Specific receipt date is Sept 11, 2017 - If I look the website the specific USCIS center (Vermont - where the file is located) timeline on website for this USCIS center says ESTIMATED 55.5 months. I understand that this "estimate" is barely a guideline and probably a "gestimation". Currently actual month consumed from receipt date are <<61 months>> and counting. Question: In your opinion, Would it be advise able to write letter to USCIS Vermont Center & Politely - Very Humbly ask them, what is a correct status of my application (Form i-130) or will this be 'wasted effort'. and or annoy them (USCIS). Thanks in Advance -s

Hey guys! I've been looking into this a bit and I seem to find a lot of conflicting opinions and thoughts on this, so was just hoping for some experience and knowledge on the idea. My fiance and I are planning on marry very shortly after I enter the US, with a proper wedding further down the line, just with the intention of keeping things moving along quicker for my AOS. But what I'm wondering the most about is my name change. I've read that people will get married and then when they apply for their SSN, they will use their married name? Meaning I would get married first, then apply for my SSN shortly after and then AOS. Meaning my GC would be issued in my married name. But I've also seen people say they would recommend waiting to do the name change until later down the line. So I guess what I'm getting at, is what would you guys recommend as the quickest/easiest way to do my name change throughout this process? :)

Hi Everyone Looking for immigrants that went through green card sponsor and Montreal consulate interview Myself, Family based sponsor for green card, currently DQ and waiting for interview letter at Montreal Consulate. Brief details on my case: I m Canadian, spouse is US and both living and working in Canada. Investment and home assets, also have a family relative joint sponsor living in US. My concerns are having a foreign employer and using my current home as an asset if they ll question or have issues with that for the income requirement. Wanted to see anyone was in the situation and how they approached it, was the CO flexible or difficult? Any advice or help is appreciated

Hello everyone, may I know how long it take to receive an interview letter from the Montreal embassy. I got Dqd on September 23rd. Also, my other question is what type of immunization we are supposed to have. I know that I am up to date with my immunization just wanted to prepare myself ahead of time, I want to prevent any delays. Oh if there is any discussion group for Canadians immigrating to the US please add me up. Thank you in advance

I recently received DQ and also an note stating I do not net income requirements. This was due to the fact that both me and my spouse (who is my sponsor) live in a foreign country and work for foreign employers We ve decided to add a joint sponsor as requested by NVC (family member living in USA) My question now is, during the interview, will adding the joint sponsor (income over poverty line) fulfill the income requirements? We also included our house as an asset I know what they want to see is whether or not your income will continue after immigrating to US, but not sure how that s proven since we will not request employment relocation or look for new jobs until the visa is obtained. Will the joint sponsor and home assets suffice for the visa to be approved at the interview or is more required? Seeing if anyone else had to go through the same Any help is appreciated.
