Visiting husband in US - questions

Hello, I'm new here.

My husband (US citizen) filed I-130 on my behalf in Feb 2022, and we're still waiting for approval. I still hold strong ties here (kept job, bank accounts, etc., and my dual citizen daughter is still living with me on this side of the border). I did have an approved GC many years ago but abandoned it when we returned to Canada. That was over 15 years ago, so now I'm in the process of doing this all over again from THIS side of the border. (Original GC was done as an AOS from a TN-1 "visa".)

Anyway.

I have dutifully remained in Canada while this whole thing is pending. He left in May 2022 and we've been separated since then. I did go visit just before Christmas (for 2 weeks) and have since returned. (I have checked my I-94 online to ensure that I'm documented as coming back).

I checked my "estimated processing time" online and I'm down to about 4 weeks.

Question:

Would another visit be cutting it too close with this kind of timeline? Even if it gets approved within that time, I'm still going to have to wait for NVC, interview, etc., next steps which will take a few months after the I-130 process, correct? Or should I just hold tight?

This has been the longest year of my life.

Applicant & Petitioner New Address Since Submitting - How to Inform NVC?

Hi all,

My wife (US sponsor) and I (foreign applicant) recently received notice that I have been given my interview date (yay!). At the time we submitted our application to NVC, my wife and I were both living together at the same address in Canada. However, since that time, my wife has moved to the USA and I have moved in with my parents, meaning that neither of us currently live at the address listed on application. I did not want to update anything on the NVC website until I received my interview notice, as I had read that it might cause me to go back to the end of the line (unsure if that is true or not), so all info on file is therefore the exact same as when we initially submitted.

My questions are:

1. What is the best way to notify NVC that my wife is now living in the USA? (and no longer at the address listed on our application)

2. What is the best way to notify NVC that I (the applicant) am currently living at a new address that is different than the one listed as current on my application?

Thank you very much and any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

Pending I-751 and Passed by N-400 Interview - No Updates Still

Had my N-400 interview last Tuesday -- agent got to the question where they asked if my removal of conditions was approved, I said "no???". He looked shocked and said "what?!" He then opened the big folder in front of him and said "oh i guess i have to do that too then. For that reason i cannot approve your n-400 today and just give you a receipt that you passed the interview but pending/undetermined at this time."

He asked if i have anything else to give him for the i-751 (removal of conditions) and i said i brought our recent health insurance re-elections for 2023 showing and our daughter (born after we were married in the u.s.) is covered under my husband and some more recent mortgage/lease statements showing we are both still listed at same address/responsible for the payments monthly. This is in addition to a stackkkkkkkk of evidence submitted a year and a half ago when i originally submitted my i-751.

He sort of said something along the lines of, " Ii don't forsee there being an issue with your approval especially with this healthcare insurance stuff, mortgage/lease stuff, and a child together -- but i'll have to look through it -- hopefully I'll get to it sometime next week."

Well "next week" has now passed and not a single change in status -- i-751 still only shows finger prints reused from October, and the n-400 still just shows as interview was scheduled.

HAS ANYONE HAD EXPERIENCE WITH A PENDING I-751, GOING TO THE N-400 INTERVIEW, PASSING AND THEN THE OFFICER/AGENT SAYING THEY NEED TO REVIEW THE I-751 FILE BEFORE THEY CAN APPROVE THAT THEN APPROVE CITIZENSHIP IF THEY THINK YOU SHOULD BE APPROVED? HOW LONG DID YOU HAVE TO WAIT FOR A CHANGE/UPDATE ONLINE? HOW LONG SHOULD I WAIT BEFORE I SHOULD BE WORRIED/TRYING TO FOLLOW-UP? HAS ANYONE HAD TO FOLLOW-UP TO SEE WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THEIR CASE IN A SITUATION LIKE THIS? IS IT VIA AN INFO PASS, OR DO WE USE OUR INBOX THING IN THE ONLINE PORTAL TO FOLLOW-UP?? IS THERE A DURATION OF TIME BEFORE MY N-400 INTERVIEW STATUS LIKE EXPIRES AND I HAVE TO RE-DO IT???

I knew i should of asked more questions when I was there but i was nervous to seem pushy ... but he just put my file on the back of his desk and my heart sank thinking that with the holidays around the corner my case is going to just get forgotten on the back of that desk. I was hopeful this morning and thinking maybe today i'll see updates, but no updates so now i feel like my hope of it happening for xmas is non-existent especially with this winter storm.

Any stories/guidance/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I can't wait for this process to come to a close -- it's been emotionally draining for the last almost 3 years.... AS YOU ALL KNOW VERY WELL!!!

If my spouse is eligible for citizenship after 3 years after coming on an ir1, when is my step daughter eligible (ir2)? Is it also 3 years? Or does she have to wait 5?
