| Moving to a different state immediately upon entering US with K1. Apply for AOS before or after move? (merged) |

Me and my fiance intend to move to a different state immediately upon my (beneficiary) arrival in the US with my K1 visa. Should I apply for AOS at the new address, or at the old address (where we'll be staying for only days or perhaps weeks)? I searched the forums extensively and for some reason people typically only ask about what to do when moving during an AOS file in progress, not before filing AOS. Also, which field office will my interview be at if I move and then file AOS at the new address? I found one person on these forums who claimed that you must live in a new place for at least 3 months before you get that field office's location. Would that mean I'd have to drive all the way back to the address I lived at for only days? That could be a thousand miles away. I have not seen any evidence of -- or even anyone else claiming -- that you must live at an address for 3 months before your field office is assigned based on that. Anyone know if that's true? Thanks!

Help please. I am going to apply for my first Canadian passport from US. I need a guarantor but I moved here less than 2 years ago and I have no Canadian friends who know me at least for 2 years... So I am thinking I am going to use a notary public. Does the person also need to know me at least for 2 years?

Hi All, Today, my husband and I were DQ'd with the notice that our case was being sent to the consulate to schedule an interview. When I checked our messages, we also had an "RFE" come in before DQ was issued that said: "UPGL-This case does not meet the minimum income requirement to sponsor the intending immigrants. To avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Support Form I-864 from a joint sponsor may be submitted. For more information visit https://nvc.state.gov/aos. The consular officer will make a decision regarding this requirement at the time of the interview. For more information, please visit https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p." I am confused as to why we are being asked for a joint sponsor. I am the beneficiary am breadwinner of the family. My job will be continuing from the same source after I immigrate to the USA, and I provided proof of this with my documents during the NVC stage, including paystubs and a letter from my employer. My income is six figures and therefore far above the required minimum income amount. Any idea if this will be accepted by the immigration officer during the interview? Based on everything I've read online, my income can be counted for household income purposes because it will continue from the same source after receiving my greencard. Thank you

I became a US citizen during the pandemic (in 2021) and got my US passport. I have never travelled back to Canada since though (due to pandemic and financial reasons) so I have been unable to visit a Nexus office to update my enrollment. Is there any way for me to update the enrollment without visiting a Nexus office? Will they even let me do it now as it has been almost 2 years? Last time I called them all the offices were closed and they said I had to visit an office. I called them after the offices opened and they said I had to visit an office. But the people on the phone never seem sure, or don't have the right info? Should I call back and ask them what I should do now?
