Morning everyone! I am lucky enough to live right by a land crossing to the US and I'm curious as to if I go across to activate it, can I immediately come back to Canada to complete my packing? I ask because I have a job waiting for me in the US and they would like to get the HR contract and logistics completed ASAP. Would it cause issues for a customs agent to see that on my file when I fly permanently? I would likely only be in Canada for an additional week max. Thanks in advance!!!

Does anyone have definitive knowledge of when an A-Number is assigned when applying for CR-1 via Consular Processing? I ask because I had an I-130 petition filed abroad which was approved, then it was sent to NVC before we withdrew the petition. We were part way through filing the DS-260, etc. We never scheduled/nor attended an interview at the consulate. I want to know if an Alien Number would have been assigned at any point, either at USCIS with the I-130 approval, or at the NVC before we withdrew. I know with the I-140, the A-Number is issued upon approval, but none of my I-797s have an A-Number listed. A FOIA didn't yield any information other than the form I-130 we submitted, which had no information or reference to an A-Number written on it.

Hello everyone, can anyone give any insight as to how long it is taking from DQ to interview letter? I've heard two months but didn't know if that was accurate, hoping maybe it is going a little faster? Thank you in advance!

I was expecting some form of communication when our application was processed by USCIS, but had heard nothing. I went online and saw that our application was processed on July 4, 2023. (NOA-1 June 22, 2022) The online instructions showed to wait until July 19 to request the RFE information be sent again. After filing the request for the RFE to be sent again, the instructions said we should expect a response by August 18, 2023. I know it's only the 19th, but 46 days have passed knowing absolutely no progress has been made. I noticed that a lot of RFE situations on here are usually moved to NOA-2 within 2 weeks, so hopefully once I know what they need, it will get moving again. Anyone else had a similar experience or any advice?

Hello house, I am a citizen of Canada and my spouse is a LPR of the US. We re currently waiting for approval of our I-130 from my husband s application for me. Do you know if I will be granted a T4N visa if I look for a job in the US? Or should I kill this option entirely and just focus on my F2A? I know the F2A might take a while and that is why I m thinking of the T4N route. Thanks
