Hi everyone! I have a question that s been bugging me for a while now. If Canada is not a high fraud country, why is Montreal a tough consulate?

Mind you, I am not from Canada, and I have never done consular processing. But in all my years in VJ, I have been reading about tough consulates, such as Lagos, Mumbai, Islamabad those I can understand. But why Montreal?

I am confused about which affidavit of support id required. Before discovering this site I used Rapid Visa to assist with my application, the I-134 they have is completely different the one I got opened from the link provided by the NVC https://www.uscis.gov/i-134. This one is asking for financial information of the beneficiary as well as mine, I thought this form was for the sponsor?

Hello, I was hoping to find the right someone who can clarify my concerns and questions related to filing my 2021 tax returns.

My beneficiary spouse has recently received her GC and has scheduled to re-apply for SSN in April. Although my spouse did apply for SSN immediately upon her arrival back in 2021, the SS Administration had a long backlog and couldn't process it. We got married in 2021.

So far, I have read that I can either apply for ITIN (with the tax return) for the spouse which will allow me to file a "MFJ" tax return or file "MFS". Upon reading related posts, a member pointed out that if the person is a legal US resident and eligible for SSN (but not yet received one), s/he cannot apply for ITIN.

I would appreciate it if someone can provide recommendations on how I should go about filing taxes for Year 2021.

Two days ago my status updated to "Case was updated to show fingerprints were taken".

Now, I just received an email from USCIS saying that they have taken an action on my case. However, when I log in online, there is no change in status. I ve seen this happen before to other people, but I m wondering if they saw a change after some days, or if it is just a delayed status update.
