January 2009 AOS Submitters

Well just thought I would post this to start us all off in the new year for those that will be filing for AOS in January! We are working on our package right now and hope to have it mailed out next week! Good luck to all!

Hello there! Me and my husband are working on our package as well. We got married on December 30th and started to fill out forms. We are thinking to mail our documents next week as well!

We will apply this month also and will be adjusting status for a K1 and a K2. Trying to find a CS to transcribe vaccinations and TB skin test and xray results at a reasonable cost. I'm thinking about just sending in the packet without the I693 and wait for an RFE.

This is definitely what I will do. I need to have AP as soon as possible, since by the end of October I have to be back in Italy to resign from my job (I am currently on unpaid leave of absence), so I want to get our package sent ASAP. If I get a RFE, then I will worry about the TB skin test and the transcriptions.

I'm spending today doing the 3rd or 4th recheck of all our documents. Will file sometime this month.

Married 23rd Dec, I'm on a J1 visa, She's obviously US Citizen.....my head hurts already. I hate this process already!!!

We had just finished our AOS package yesterday. We will mail it tomorrow. It is more great feeling now than waiting for the K-1 process because we are together. Good luck everyone.

we are doing our finishing touches on our AOS for K1 and K2... just finished the additional immunization for the kids today and will be scouting for civil surgeon here to transcribe our vaccination record on I-693 tomorrow... if we can't find anybody cheap, we will just go ahead and use dr. arnold... hoping we would be able to submit AOS application next week

wow sis, u're filing AOS now, good luck! we're still far from that but I can't stop thinking about it. Sis, let me tke the chance to ask here, how were u able to get SSN for the kids? we were told to get tax ID first? or as what I've read here get EAD then SSN? am getting confused, I think I need to be in VJ often again LOL.

We got our packet sent off today finally Now to wait....sure is easier this part of the process since we are together that is for sure!!!

DBEARS hello again!!!

I think Gareth had the tb done already will he have to get it done again? I haven't really been educating myself too much about this part of the process....I would not be surprised one bit if we get an RFE since we put it all together and made cover letter and all but I sure did not go over it and over it and over it like I did with the K1 packet haha!

We sent off the EAD and AP as well just so we have those too Bery doubtful Gareth will be able to find work in our area (Michigan is veryyyy low in job area especially our town) but still will be nice just to have it just in case!

hello,

I'm wondering what to put in the AP form (I131) in the Part 3 (date of intented departure).

I know for sure I have to go home for a week in June but I may also have to go abroad before. Should I put a random date?

Another question is concerning the I693. I had my medical in France and I remember very well that vaccination was included. So I was not planning on filing the vaccination form. but now I have second thought.. I was wondering whether those of you who are filling it have had vaccination included in their medical abroad or not?

can i join the club..were setting up the AOS, EAD, AP forms and will send it this month as well..aside from the forms..can anybody post the required "other" documents needed per application.. something like a checklist for all those who are compiling..

FF question: what did u guys answer to the part 3 questions after it says "skip to part 7" i read the questions there, especially part 4 INFORMATION OF PROPOSED TRAVEL... dont i need to answer? AP is kind of confusing compare to other forms.

is there a difference when u say applying for ADVANCE PAROLE and TRAVEL DOC.??
