Spoke to NVC Operator to confirm recent posts about RFE for passport photo...looks like they are going to request two passport photos to most embassies.

My recommendation for future DS230 fillings, include two passport pictures with case number and beneficiary's name written in the back of the pictures.

What about the passport size photos that we had to send with our I-130, what happens to those?

Hey y'all;

Just got off the phone with NVC to verify that police cert is on file and it was mentioned that NVC has a new requirement for 2 passport-sized photo to be submitted with the DS-230.

What else are they gonna ask for?

CIS != NVC

Those that you sent with the I130 are with CIS - they stay there. The ones that go to NVC are for a totally different beast.

On other matters:

ARRRGH! I just finished twisting arms to get that bloody police certificate & documents ... and now THIS. They just checked in their **** form on 1/30 even.

* slips 2 passport photos in a nice mailer & gets em ready for next-day-air tomorrow.

Heh. Can't hurt. ( or can it? T_T )

In the past two weeks, I've overnighted responses to an NVC RFE for several documents that weren't just right when they received them in December - missing "Present" on the recent address line, no little "postage stamp" certfication on the birth certificate, no expiration date page from the passport (they didn't ask for it!), updated police and court reports. I sent the last submission in YESTERDAY, then called to let them know that they were on the way. That's when the agent told me that the pics were a new requirement. Thank God, at least we can do that by pc. International mail takes forever!

I already post on IR1/CR1 forum, NVC dont ask for translation from spanish into english, just original documents.
