Please be nice, I know I made a mistake... But got my K1 approved and arrived in the US June 25, 2024 and applied for AOS February 25, 2025 -- then left the US (abandoned my AOS). Will I be banned for re-entry to the US -- even under a spouse visa?-

I'm currently living and working in the United States. My fiancé currently lives in Japan. We have been dating for about 6 months, and we have met in person several times, but we are not yet married.
My fiancé will be visiting me in the United States on a tourist visa some time in March or April and staying for about 3 months. I want to file for a fiance/spouse visa asap -- what's next?-

To start, marijuana is illegal in my country of origin. When I was applying for my green card I admitted to trying marijuana when I was in my 20's (I'm 49 now). I got my green card and have lived in the US for 5 years. I'm in the process of applying for citizenship. What answer should I give to the question: "Have you EVER committed, agreed to commit, asked someone else to commit, helped commit, or tried to commit a crime or offense for which you were NOT arrested? Yes or No" given that I admitted to past marijuana use during the GC process?-

Fiance or Marriage Visa in 2025 ? Pros and cons?

I'm 23F 🇨🇿, my partner is 29M 🇺🇲
We want to get our visa going sometime this year and want to be together as soon as possible but we are still unsure which visa would serve us better. I'd like to get married in my home country but on the other side i wouldn't mind getting married paperwise in the US and waiting for my work permit and etc if it would allow us to be together faster and then save up for and have our dream wedding in my home country.
What do you think ? All of this is so overwhelming and confusing and we just want to do the right thing.
I asked the same question on reddit, so many people recommended me to go with fiance visa, two suggested marriage visa. I need more input and advice from experienced people. Thank you
Ps: is it possible to have dual citizenship so i don't lose one from my home country? How does that work ?-

2 RepliesHello Everyone! I filed for a K-1 Visa (I-129F Form)and received the NOA1 back in March. At the time of filing I had been working for the same company for over 17 years. Since filing, my employment at said company has ended. When I found out my job was ending I decided to take a break from working and go stay with my Fiancee in the Philippines. I have some money in savings and currently selling a home back in the US. My question is.... does the $26,000 plus income requirement have to be money coming in? Is there a certain amount needed in savings if you do not have a steady income?
Thanks for the help. Just trying to get ahead of the game.

7 RepliesI'm trying to re-apply for citizenship and I'm still running into an issue with the 3 months in the same state proof. Maybe someone has been in my situation and can help me.
I have been living at the same address for over 10 years at this point, but I get my mail delivered to a PO box. It seems to me I need proof from my home address, is that correct?
In addition, I don't have anything in my name and it seems they want utility bills and lease agreements. Does anyone have any idea what I could send instead of those?

5 RepliesI'm filling out USCIS Form I-846 (Affidavit of Support). Question 11 asks for my "USCIS online account number (if any)". I checked my USCIS account and searched everwhere, and I can't find it. I don't see it listed on the I-130 receipt notice or on the I-130 approval notice. Can anyone explain this to me why they are asking for a non-existing number or how I can find this number?

Can he file for K1 while he is out of job , we already prepared all out documents.
Can we still send our file to the postal office even when he hasn’t gotten a job yet ?
or it’s advisable to wait still when he has a job before we can summit the Form I-129F

Hello! For an update, my husband flew back to Baghdad and shipped (DHL) to a friend in Ankara that has a translation business. He hand delivered Ali's passport to the embassy. Once it was ready for pick up, Omer retrieved my husband's passport with visa stamp inside and mailed it to my husband. I wish you the best of luck!· 0 replies
