Abandoned AOS and now regret it
Please be nice, I know I made a mistake... But got my K1 approved and arrived in the US June 25, 2024 and applied for AOS February 25, 2025 -- then left the US (abandoned my AOS). Will I be banned for re-entry to the US -- even under a spouse visa?

US Citizen with Foreign Fiancé: When and How to Get Married?
I'm currently living and working in the United States. My fiancé currently lives in Japan. We have been dating for about 6 months, and we have met in person several times, but we are not yet married.
My fiancé will be visiting me in the United States on a tourist visa some time in March or April and staying for about 3 months. I want to file for a fiance/spouse visa asap -- what's next?

Expired K-1 visa and have not started adjustment of status

N400: Admitted to Weed during Green Card (was it a crime I was not arrested for?)
To start, marijuana is illegal in my country of origin. When I was applying for my green card I admitted to trying marijuana when I was in my 20's (I'm 49 now). I got my green card and have lived in the US for 5 years. I'm in the process of applying for citizenship. What answer should I give to the question: "Have you EVER committed, agreed to commit, asked someone else to commit, helped commit, or tried to commit a crime or offense for which you were NOT arrested? Yes or No" given that I admitted to past marijuana use during the GC process?

Fiancée threatened with deportation by customs agent after arriving at airport for false accusations. How concerned should we be?
Firstly, I want to get some things clear because I know everyone will say this otherwise:
We are seeing an immigration attorney for consultation soon. We've already printed out several documents to prove that my fiancée is not coming here with the intent to live here for the future until they get the K-1 Visa... Now, Heres the actual story...

Fiance or Marriage Visa in 2025 ? Pros and cons?
    I'm 23F 🇨🇿, my partner is 29M 🇺🇲
We want to get our visa going sometime this year and want to be together as soon as possible but we are still unsure which visa would serve us better. I'd like to get married in my home country but on the other side i wouldn't mind getting married paperwise in the US and waiting for my work permit and etc if it would allow us to be together faster and then save up for and have our dream wedding in my home country.

What do you think ? All of this is so overwhelming and confusing and we just want to do the right thing.

I asked the same question on reddit, so many people recommended me to go with fiance visa, two suggested marriage visa. I need more input and advice  from experienced people. Thank you
Ps: is it possible to have dual citizenship so i don't lose one from my home country? How does that work ?

We've sent all documents to NVC. How long is it taking to review cases? London embassy if that's relevant.

Re-entering US by land from Canada on a tourist visa

    Hello,

There are some specific circumstances at play here but I wanted some insight if anyone had any.

Family is coming to visit. Both parents have green cards and sister has a tourist visa (she s an adult but disabled and dependent o parents).

We d like to road trip and part of the road trip would be in Canada but would be short maybe 3 days max then back to US. Assuming sister is given a 6 months stay after arriving into the U.S., would that make her re-entry into the US from Canada by land easier or more difficult? I know that those with tourist visas and go to Canada or Mexico for less than a month and then come back to the U.S. wouldn t be given a new 6-months entry and it wouldn t count as a new entry to the U.S., which isn t something that we re seeking (not trying to do a visa run or anything that would be a stupid thing to attempt). But I m asking if she already has a 6-month stamp and we go into Canada for a couple of days and corn back, does her having that stamp make her entry possibly scrutinized or more or less by officers at the border? Sourly nowadays with things being super strict at borders especially on land.

    looking forward to your insights

If number isn’t selected immediately could it be selected later?

There s little official clarity in this but if an applicant s number isn t selected in May, there are some who advise checking again each month or so after because it could be selected if some other selectees falter or something to that effect.

Is it actually a thing that other unselected numbers may be chosen later? Or if a number isn t selected then that s it it s done for the year?

I-130 Online vs. Paper Filing from Overseas
    10:09 pm yesterday

    Hello all,

I've searched and searched for a definitive answer and I'm coming up with conflicting answers. Hopefully, someone who has done this process can clarify for me.

We are beginning our I-130 application and filing from abroad; both of us live in Taiwan and will submit it from here.

I created a USCIS account and began the application, but I've read conflicting information to not use the online form if you are filing from abroad.

    So:

    1) Should I use the online application, print the PDFs and then somehow upload them, or just do the paper version?

    2) Do I upload the I-130A as a PDF in the evidence portion at the end of my I-130? Or is there some other way it should be done?

Apologies if this is the topic of discussion somewhere, but I just wasn't finding my exact answer anywhere online.

    Thank you.

I have a scheduled interview at MTL embassy for F11 visa. I have 2 minor (7 and 2 yrs old) included as derivative on my application. Do I need to bring both kids to the interview? I am not able to find information if they can be exempt from joining me. Please share your experience.

Hi , anybody with a clue how I should go about this?
The birth certificate I submitted on form i129f had  and error of date of birth but I knew later after we've already submitted our petition for K1 ,that being said on our paper work I put the wrong date since I didn't know that our registra made an error, the error has been rectified and the birth certificate has been verified too, should we write a letter to the uscis and explain the error, and provide the verified birth certificate with correct date of birth together with the 129f page where I indicated the date of birth ?
We had filed the birth certificate with the error on our 129f

      Hi everyone!

I will be entering US with a K1 visa. I will have a direct flight from YYZ-DFW. I am curious where I should give the yellow envelope, is it given to my POE which is DFW?

And the vaccination sheet sent to me via email from the doctor, i printed it out, is it also one of the things they ask for?

and feel free to let me know what other documents they ask upon entry.

      Thank you.

Hey everyone! I’m currently in the process of applying for the IR-1 (Immediate Relative) Spouse Visa from Pakistan, and I was hoping someone could guide me regarding the required family-related documentation.
      Specifically, I need to clarify:
👉 Do I only need the Marriage Registration Certificate (MRC) issued by the Union Council?
      OR
👉 Do I also need the Family Registration Certificate (FRC) issued by NADRA?
      Here’s the challenge:
My spouse is a U.S. citizen and not a Pakistani national, so in order to be included in the FRC, they would first need to obtain a Pakistan Origin Card (POC) — which is an entirely separate process and would add significant time and paperwork.
      So my question is:
Is the MRC issued by the Union Council sufficient for the IR-1 visa process, or is the NADRA-issued FRC also mandatory — even when the spouse is a foreign national?
Any help from someone who has gone through this process in Pakistan would be truly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
