I spent the weekend in Detroit, Michigan U.S.A. attending the wedding of a good friend. Some of my friend`s friends

having hogged the booze at the homemade bar at the wedding decided to go cross into Canada without a passport.

"Someone has got to put this passport rule to a test", said one of them. Obviously, he was referring to anyone who

crosses a border going outside of this country. As you all know, leaving this country is quite easy. Re-entering is quite

a different animal. If you do not have a passport identiying you as a U.S. citizen, you are held back at the border. It

is not clear or have I read of a U.S. citizen being harrassed for not having his pastport. In fact, rules have been

changing in this area the last couple of months.

Anyway, I would have none of that. I decided that I did not have any particular interest of visisting Toranto Canada or

any other place across the border....without my passport. I saw three of these guys go over the border this morning at

around 2:00 am stinking drunk. I did not see these guys for the rest of the day. Whether they had a passport to begin

with is realy no concern to me. But if indeed they did not. I hope that at least they hold their booze better than how they

acted at the border while crossing over.

My friend`s brother and I were kind of laid-back at the wedding and I did not particularly felt like getting stoned. In fact

I very rarely do. We got in a cab and headed for the airport. Both of us seemed to have sensed a good reason to get

away from the wild crowd at that wedding. I mean a dude fired some shots at a light post. "what are you looking at",

he yelled at the light.

He swore that in Detriot, the FBI and most law inforcement had cameras installed in the lamp posts to catch people who

were drunk. So this is the fun I was having across the great lakes.

It took me 1 hour and six minutes on the plane to land at O`Hare airport from Detroit. I looked at my watch and noticed

what I already knew. I was 1 hour and six minutes ahead of Central Time. You probably know that time changes while

crossing the great lakes into Northern states.

I got to my apartment after leaving me friends brother at the airport several hours later. The apartment was kind of

chilly this Sunday evening so I turned on the thermostat at 65 degrees.

I jumped in the shower and into fresh clothes and went out to have a bite to eat. I was feeling a bit down on myself

for wasting such precious time by joining the wild crowd in Detroit. Maybe a Big Mac will knock me out and a good

sleep will take care of everyting.

How about you guys, how did you pass your whole week? Come on in and lets chat. Let me know what you think about

Quick Draw Mcgraw shooting out lamps down from their post. Paranoid probably but let me know what you think.

Last week I felt like that Mole used at the carnivals while kids play Wack-the-Mole with a mallet. Due to a thread that

I hung up the hits bombarded me left and right. I enjoyed that.

So fire away. Let me know what you think of those people who left this country without a passport. Would you do that?]

Oh, and I hope you all had a wonderful week!

Talk about depressing, I agree with your view of Motown in the winter. It is typically no different in summer. And there

is a lot of depressing situations here in our mighty U.S. of A.

For example, your response to my thread about Detroit has to be one of the all time greats, when it is measured by

its length in words. Most VJers here like to drop one-liners,whether it is on a thread or a comment, Oh, and at times

they add an icon.

Talk about depressing.

Thanks JODO, how ya doing dude???

JODO is a she. :)

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

what????

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Well, to answer your questions, NO I wouldn't cross a border like that. Also, your friend that shot the lightpost is a little disturbing! I mean, what if it were you?

Glad you got out of there.
