I don't know what USCIS is doing. I've made several calls these last two months and not once have my petitions been touched.

Same here... I have made about two calls so far and haven't been touched even once on my online CRIS account, which gives me weird feelings too  but I m not too big on touches/updates so I am going to try hard NOT to think about it... Speaking of calling them, I got the same 'ol saga both the times.. USCIS CSR: "It hasn't been six months... call us after if you still haven't heard from us... " blah blah

This wait is gettting ridiculous now, espeically when I think that there are people who have been waiting even longer than me...On, Nov 7th, I will be 5 months for my K3 and come Nov 15th I will be more than 6 months... Arrghh...

But lets hope that this week brings out lots of K3 NOA2... gluck my honey, gogo, JG0407... and everyone else who have been waiting..

Hello...Me tooo...I'm waiting like crazy for this NOA2...I'm almost the same timeline as you GOGO...I hope we all can receive ours noas ..it's really frustating...

Good luck to all!

Do you know how long these "security checks" are? I hear some are as long as 1 year's time? ughhhh... that makes me shudder (much more than a scary movie).. I still don't get why some people get processed much faster (I see some people from CSC who are May filers and have been approved)... Does the country also have something to do with it? .. China isn't one of the most "trusted" countries around.. but give us a break.. If they don't trust us, then the US shouldn't even invest in China.. :crying::crying:

My Honey, I'm not sure how long your (and mine) security checks will be.. I really haven't seen much of this stuff on Visajourney yet... I do see AP (Administrative checks).. but those are after you get approved... I think that the "checks" done before the approval are for the petitioner... the "checks" done after approval are for the petitionee (maybe that's not the word)..

Gogo,

I wanted to let you know our applications have already made the security checks. The only thing we are waiting on is for the official to look at my ex marriage license which states my maiden name to link our documents. Apparently, this is a common problem for people who have been previously married. So, I hope my experience will help someone who is just filing to send also a copy of their ex marriage license along with the divorce decree to avoid any unnecessary delays.

It was because of the fires. I believe CSC is located in San Diego. Correct???

CSC is located in Laguna Niguel which is south of Los Angeles. The fires around LA were put out last Thursday and most of the fires were located in the wealthy part of LA county.

Wow, I'm reading this & talking to my husband, telling him about this situation all of you are in...we are just sick for all of you! Jim tells me that the background check for purchasing a hand gun has a waiting period of 15 days and yet, it's over 6 months for how many VJer's, to get security clearance?! Hmmm....easier to buy a gun rather than to get a family member into the country! Sheesh!

Good luck & prayers to all...

hi,

I know how much stress you guys are having...

I am a March filler, and our I-130 took 7 month, and I-129F took 6 months.

We found out that ours went to "Extened review" at FBI name checks after normal name checks.

We believed that this was becasue it was my 3rd green card.

We got help from 2 congressmen, Ombudsm, and they helped us a lot, and finally one of our congressmen pushed USCIS to promise to approve our case in a day, and they did it!!

After USCIS, our I-129F application went very fast. It went to NVC in a week, and got to Embassy in a week after that.

You guys should call your congressman for help.

Good luck to you guys.

I'm still hoping that all your approvals will be here shortly

As for Sunday touches, I remember seeing a USCIS statement a while back saying that they were having compulsory overtime to deal with backlogs (mainly for receipting delays)... maybe it's still in effect and involves staff working on the weekends?

My I-130 was approved on December 13, 2004. FINALLY got my interview at the Montreal Consulate on Feb. 28, 2008. Had to resubmit my police check and medical report. Those were couriered and arrived at the consulate on April 1, 2008. I am now in Application Processing mode. Since I don't have a criminal history, I've never been deported or refused entry into the United States, and have been married for 5 1/2 yrs and have two children with my American born husband, this is driving me totally crazy. I'm also a natural born Canadian and don't get what the issue is. I actually thought it was supposed to take this long until I found this web site last week. Now we have contacted my husband's sentor's office and they are calling today to find out what is going on. I pray they can get to the bottom of this.

We have just passed the 180 mark!! We have never been married before and we do not live in a "suspecious" country. My wife is from Canada and i'm from the US. I dont know why it has taken so long, but it is very frustrating. I hope we hear something soon but calling them gives us no hope or chance. Anyways, good luck to all of you. God Bless. We are doing the I130, not sure what everyone else is doing but it has gone painstakeningly slow. okay..here's to hoping and praying.
