Its true, they basically do tell you that in so many words if you dont wanna fill out the forms and pay for a freakin signature you have to put down there.

Ive even made it appoint that if i need something major done to me i will go back to romania for it. I had an emergancy when i was there, and when i walked in the ER, they saw me right that second, (had a cyst removed), they were KIND (god forbid if most ER drs and nurses even say hello in a non snippy way), and they got it done fast, with NO CHARGE. My fiance and myself gave the doctor a little money out of appriciation, but they dont charge in the ER. And an EMERGANCY to them is in fact an EMERGANCY, where in the us you can die in the waiting room, yet your morning family gets a bill for $200 for your body entering the ER doors then dieing.

Then its a good thing i can go through my family doctor. I already know there will be extra money spent because of USCIS.

Our family doctor IS a civil surgeon but it still cost me a hundred and fifty bucks for the medical! They were very clear that it could NOT be claimed on our insurance either... the only advantage we got was convenience of going to the office around the corner from us.

I discovered that, when I had a lymph node biopsy last year.

If a nurse comes by your bed and says 'hi', you get charged for it. Private healthcare is a racket - that the government should (but won't - because they favour corporate interests over those of the average joe) reform.

$20,000 for a very simple procedure - couldn't believe it. If I didn't have insurance, I would have been liable for the full amount. As it was I ended up paying $1500. Then just when I thought I was done, another bill shows up from someone else demanding an extra $100 for services rendered.

Seems to me the consumer gets a pretty rough deal. The fact that anyone can charge you for anything, and you wouldn't necessarily know what you got for you money, doesn't seem very fair to me.

ayy

and the funny thing is.. it's still cheaper to go to Mexico to a 1st class hospital than stayin in the US..

was thinking.. an average arthroscopic knee surgery would be more than $15,000..

in Guadalajara u can get that in th Best hospital, which doesnt aks nothing to the ones here.. for about $4,000.. and the tickets are gonna be tops 600.. lol... funny, and ironic..

so.. last October I went to a medical center to get the vaccination supplement filled.. I went to the little room and I asked the doctor I need the shots.. he told me 'u have to go to the health dept, they'll give u the shots and just come back and I'll sign the form'.. ok I did that.. I payed 100 bucks for that after I got my free shots.. (yea, 100 just for writing stuff in a paper)

yesterday I got another bill from them for extra 150.. I asked #######?! they told me it was for the physical, I told them I never had a physical and just got my forms filled.. but they said 'well, u had contact with the doctor, what he did inside the room I don't know' so I was arguing hey I never got a physical, he told me 'just go get ur shots'.. and well.. after 10 minutes in the phone they just said 'yeah, the immigration procedure is 250 no matter what.. even if its just to fill a form'..

I got ganked so bad by them.. I hate America's Health system... so I'll have to get in their freakin pay program cuz im not gonna pay 150 straight..

sigh..

fortunately.. it's just once.. but I'll find a way so American can pay me back LAWL

I would pay them for the doctor's office visit. I would NOT pay them for hte physical.

If they want payment for a physical, then demand they furnish you a copy of the Dr's report of your physical. medical billing errors happen all the time. This will force them to go to your file and determine no physical was performed.

Ok, my experince with a CS for my beutiful wife Marissa...

we went to a CS close by. they charged for what they did, I know they would of needed to do something but her CS I think actuly looked at her case on the computer cause she seem to know what she was talking about. She said she needed some kind of Mumps shot but she was not sure she should do it without a blood sample and I thought maybe she was pregnet so the Dr did not want to give it to her. She told me to make sure she is not preggy and if she is let the dr know and she will sign off the vacanaions forms..if not have her take the blood test. We took the blood test and a few days later the dr's office called and told her the form is sign and she needs to pick it up. we went to pick it up.

After our visit at the dr's office I paid $60 and that is all I paid.

She is has a regluar practice also as being a CS. She is very smart, has good people skills etc and is very very smart, and she is also a immagrant herself :)

I did call around and I did find a couple of dr's that just want $245 no matter if it was to sign the paper or do the whole menu.. I got into a fight with the lady on the phone, I said she does not need a physical cause she had one 3 mos prior. she said the dr wont just sign off something he did not do, but I know that b!tch was wrong
