Lets hope the backlog will clear out and that we will have the good fortune of having our petitions processed faster than expected because of staff possibly being increased at the service centers :) Anyways, its nice to know that there is group of us here with the same goal. Hello, my I129F was sent to CSC on October 5th, so I thought I'd add my name to the list of October filers! Wish me luck and great patience...

NOA1 arrived quickly, it was mailed on October 11th and landed in my fiances mailbox on October 16th! Word is that CSC has added extra staff to deal with the backlog, so hopefully our waits won't be as long as some of the others before us that I've read on the forums... Have to stay positive, right?

Good luck everyone!

By the way, I can't figure out how to add the nifty timeline at the bottom of my posts like the rest of you, I assume that's an automatic signature or something? How do you do it?

If you go to my controls you can update your signature from there. There is no automatic population from the timeline. You have to manually enter the details into your signature.

17th March 2010 - Started the removal of conditions process

22nd March 2010 - Application received by CSC

30th April 2010 - Biometrics appointment

According to the USCIS website we have been touched on the 16th,18th and 19th of October.....Our Petition was received on the 10th and NoA 1 issued on the 12th.

I'd like to know why we're being touched that much.........good or bad sign?

Everytime I see a touch I worry about an RFE.....

We've received 3 touches this week too, after receiving our NOA1 on October 11th...I'm a bit worried about the possibility of an RFE, but what can you do? From everything I've read on these forums, the touches are pretty random - some people never get a single one, while others get lots. It doesn't appear to have any correlation to how quickly people's applications are adjudicated. So let's hope it's a good sign!

I don't have the NOA1 yet, but I did finally get the green card back from the postal service and it was stamped "USCIS received 10/12/07" even though, according to the USPS website, it was successfully delivered on the 9th. I'm almost afraid to check to see whether my check has cleared yet. If it hasn't, I will be more worried than if I don't check. If it has, well, all that means is I can obsessively check the USCIS website.

Okay, our check cleared Friday. I don't have online banking so I'm going to have to go next door (to the bank) to get a printout of the back of the check before I can go on their site to find the NOA1, but I'm assuming for now that they have issued it. Our whole office is going out to lunch today for a combined birthday lunch for me and our secretary so I will probably do that tomorrow. For now, I'm just relieved that we are probably in the system.

When I told my mom about the three-day difference between the reciept date USCIS stamped on the return reciept card and the USPS website, she said "Oh, that's the federal government for you." She is a retired federal employee, too.
