Consulate Review: Frankfurt, Germany
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : January 22, 2009
Embassy Review : SO,we had the third Interview appointment yesterday. Our case was rather unusual..so when I had the firts Interview on April 9th last year I attented the Interview without my 7 year old,so I had to come back with him 5 days later on the 14th of April 2008.We wee granted the Visa's and received them on the 23rd of April.
Due to family related problems we could not use those Visa's and Frankfurt was nice enough to give us time until April 21st,2009 to get hings in order and re submit our paperwork and have a new Interview.
So we re submitted our papers in December by Fax (because I was in the US with my son, visiting my man) and got a requested expediated Interviw appointment for January 21st.
We got there yesterday (my son and me) and everybody was extremly polite ,friendly and in a good mood.
The lady at Window 20 asked how we were doing and whether we were able to solve our problems and said that sometimes it is better to come and apply for a Visa again then making such a huge step as in moving not truly knowing that that's what you want.So ya she was being very understanding and very nice.
The Consul herself was a young lady which was joking with me and even explained to my son why his fingerprints were not needed and when he was still disappointed she did "take" his too just so he would be happy. She as well was extremely understanding of our situation and told me that on the pictures we already look like a family .She thought my man was cute and loved our pictures.
We are allowed to come up to Frankfurt and pick up our papers either tomorrow or on Monday and so we can fly out on Tuesday.
All in all,
outstabding staff in Frankfurt !!!!!!! Extremly nice, understanding and polite.
Rating : Very Good

POE Review: Seattle
Event Description
Entry Date : 2009-01-27
Embassy Review : We got to Seattle at 2pm and stood in the Immigration line for about 30 minutes, when we went up to the counter I was asked why I didnt use the Visa issued in April 2008 (same petitioner) and given a red card .I was told to go to the Immigration Office and wait there until I would be called up.I was NOT allowed to make a phone call,my son was being yelled at for trying to help a little girl (her Dad was being held up because his Green Card had expired in 2007 and he came back from Vacation with his family from Uganda),I had to ask them 3 times to call my Fiance who was waitinmg for us at the Baggage Claim area, when I asked them again to inform him that we were being held up I was told "Oh we wanna talk to him anyways,he will have to come up and answer some questions",but when they finally DID call him they didnt askhim a single question and only told him that we are going through Immigration.I was accused of trying to use an expired Visa when I came to the US latt month to visit my Fiance, even though I was the one that gave the Visa's back and informed the US Embassy in Frankfurt that I wasnt sure whether I still wanted to immigrate and was asking them to keep the case open until I went to see my man and we came to a final decision on our relationship and future. In December I even had the letter from Frankfurt with me and showed it to the IOmmigartion Officer....anyways,they kept ,me and my son in therefor 3 hours, most of which they simply fried us by letting us sit there and wait.....It was a VERY unpleasant experience and one I certainly didnt expect.Especially not after the US Consulate in Germany was being extremly helpful and polite to us.
Harassment Level : High

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
