Most of us get through our lives one day at a time and pretty much get into a routine that doesnt change much. Now and again the opportunity to take that "road less travelled" comes along but many of us are to afraid of the unknown to go down that path. We stick with what we know even if its rather boring and sedate.

Has anyone here ever been at the "fork in the road"...the one to the left is your "boring and sedate but familiar" life and the one on the right is "unchartered territory that could either be exciting and fun or dangerous and demoralizing"...but we dont really know cause its "unknown". Have you ever chosen the unknown and were you happy or pissed at the choice later down that path? Just wondering.... :)

Hmmm...interesting question. If you mean, something that is life changing - not too often that those forks come in the road and when they do, I stop and ponder before choosing, but I see that any choice before me is a challenge. I'd like to believe that where I am at right now is where I'm suppose to be - that life isn't a series of random chances, but rather it has a purpose. :star:

"Robert Frost or Scott Peck?"....no...Coolred38 :hehe:

I realize that moving to another country is a huge decision fraught with unknowns...but basically even the unknowns are known...sometimes though we are faced with a choice in which there truly is no way to know where the other path will lead us....that kind of fork...

IMHO all of us have arrived at that metaphorical fork in the road. Hence the reason for us all being HERE. :)

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Yep...falling in love with someone who was from the other side of the world that I met on the internet. I had said I wouldn't be a person who met my husband on the internet. LOL

At the beginning I probably said to myself every day at least 10 times "You have lost your mind, you can't do this!!!" Maybe that decision isn't so risky to some but I thought it was a huge decision I was making whether to continue on with these feelings with someone I met randomly on the internet, who lived in India, or to ignore them and move on. Thank God I didn't ignore the feelings! :)

Hmmm, I guess I can't say I've experienced such a dramatic juncture. There are certain decisions that will definitely change the course of our lives. If I had never moved to Italy, I wouldn't have met my husband, and who knows where I'd be or what I'd be doing now. But the same could be said for minor decisions too, butterfly effect and all.
