We only included about six pictures when I filed the petition but Claudeth took two three-ring binders full of photos to the interview and the officer looked at many of them.

I would be too scared to send a petition without photos. No matter how much written evidence you have. No offense, but I cant imagine anyone making plans to get married without ever taking photos together. Am I the only one who finds this odd? Sorry, that probably wasnt the greatest answer. I think photos are critical. If you pass the petition approval, I cant see how you would be granted a visa during the interview without photos.

My friend, I think you should start checking airline prices. I see an RFE in your future....

It's the visual proof of you both spending time together. I think it's very important, but you could try.

If you have other evidence to prove that you two have met within the last two years (ie. boarding passes, passport stamps, hotel receipts) then photos won't be needed - as liz mentioned, she didn't include photos, but she had other evidence in her petition to prove that she met the 2 year requirement.

However, at the interview you might hit a huge wall in proving a genuine and bonafide relationship with your fiancee. I know personally I brought a whole whackload of paper evidence (phone bills, emails, etc) and all they wanted to see were the photos.

Overall, I'd say the more evidence that you have for your petition, the better chance you have in avoiding an RFE or denial.

So what about phone bills ?

I always call with telediscount which is about 1ct a minute Netherlands > USA

and it doesnt show her phone number on my bill

How can I work with that and do they need phone bills ??

No we dont have a lot of emails or letters because we call quite a lot

Dont bother sending phone bills or chat logs to the USCIS Service Center with your initial petition. You need to prove that you have met in person, and these kinds of items will do nothing!!

I finally got rid of the never ending money drain. I called the plumber, and got the problem fixed. I wish her the best.

Not to be a stickler, but -

you will be submitting a petition for a K1 visa on behalf of your fiancee.

She will apply for the visa at the overseas consulate once the petition has been approved and sent to the overseas consulate via the National Visa Center.

I was thinking it might be okay with the petition; but at the interview, I would say at least some pictures are essential.

we didn't include pictures in our petition and did just fine

But, do you have some for the interview?

I can imagine a petition getting approved without photos together, especially if the non-USC is from a VWP country, but I would be very surprised to see a visa issued without photos together. And I would be super-surprised to see a visa issued by a high-fraud Consulate without photos.

We submitted 3 photos withour petition. When my husband hand-delivered packet 3 back to the Consulate in Kathmandu, he was specifically told "When you come back for your interview, bring more photos!".

Good luck to the OP.

Many thanks to the Visajourney community for all the help!
