During the Vietnam war, many American service men found love with native Vietnamese women, married them, brought them home, and began families. Is the same thing happening with Iraqi women? Just curious. I haven't heard too much about American-Iraqi relationships throughout this war. is it happening?

no, the miltary has been strong in their stance on relatiosnhips with Iraq females...my son worked with one ..she was at Abu G as a trainee ...he was cautioned several times to always make certain he was within view of others and never be alone with her....as this would cause issues with the Iraqis working there,

I have a feeling, very, very few. I don't think many Iraqi women would have the slightest interest in American soldiers. I also think the reverse is true for the Americans over there.

I'm an American woman (not in the military) marrying an Iraqi man! I live here in Baghdad and I work for a humanitarian project. I've also met three Iraqi girls that married American men and another Iraqi guy that married an American woman (all in the military). The main problem for Iraqi muslim women is that they should marry a muslim man, but that doesn't stop everyone! The other problem is that any Iraqi planning to marry an American could be kidnapped, killed, or tortured if anyone finds out about their plans. I wish there was a way for people in our situation to expedite our visas. Do you think there's any chance? I plan to start contacting some congressmen soon to find out...
