Oh God, thing have gone from bad to worse so quickly. I somehow put down the year for my fiancee's birth as 2006 instead of 1980! My *** **** dyslexia screw me again!!! I simply cannot do numbers.

####### do I do now?! I am dealing with HCMC in Vietnam and we all know they will use any excuse to send you into oblivion. As you can see from my timeline, somehow despite this huge error the application is proceding towards HCMC.

Please, what do I do? :help:

Matt,

I had also made the same error, wrong birthdate on the I-129F. But I did put the correct birthdate on the G325A. My fiancee discovered the error when they sent her packet 3. Here is what I did: I sent the HCMC consulate an email describing the wrong birthday as an inadvertant error, I also told them that the G325A had the correct birthday on it. They responded to my email saying that they had forwarded my email to the NVC. Thats it. So I decided to send to my fiancee a notorized affidavit that she can take to the interview. The affidavit explains that I made an inadvertant error on the I-129F and that the G325 was correct. This just supporting evidence that the mistake was realized by the petioner and therefore brought to the attention of the consulate.

Thanks for all your help. I am sending them an email now. God, what a nightmare. Completely my fault. :(

Matt!

You are such a DORK! You are just excited and in a hurry to get the K-1 Visa. By the way, did you mean to put 6002 instead of 2006? Just giving you a good natured hard time. Best of luck to you! I'm sure everything will work out for the best.

Don't worry, it looks like you are back on track to fixing the issue.

I think they would've figured it out down the line that it was just an oversite in all of your excitement, realizing that you can't marry someone who is just born.

Actually, she isn't even born yet, according to my mistake. :D

ROFL, hey I am happy to know that I am not the only one that makes these sort of mistakes all the time...

Atleast this is hilarious, what's not is when you dont want to screw up and hire a lawyer to file I-129 whose incompitent staff marks you as "MARRIED" on the I-129 and subsequent forms... and list your ex-wife as your current spouse...

YEP, it happened to me.

The reason I am mentioning this is that if THAT BIG mistake could be fixed, dont worry the obvious DOB mistake that I am sure a lot of people make wont be a problem to fix.

Matt_Stevens,

Put down the birth year as 2006 where? On what document?

An obvious error, the correct birth year is consistently shown correctly on other documentation?

And my fiance put his last name-middle.-last name on the petition..that got fixed in a minute just by calling the customer service.

I guess, there is almost nothing that can't get fixed, if these people are just willing to help!

Good luck to you, I hope, it won't cause any delays!! :)
