So today, we were picking up some items in Wal-Mart.

As background, Wal-Mart has redesigned some of their stores, to include new simulated wood, but "plastic like" flooring in the clothing section.

While in the checkout lane, I realized that I had picked up an item that was incorrect. To save time, I jetted through the clothing section and "wham", I was picking my azz up off the floor.

Seems that some bonehead dropped a plastic hangar on the floor and left it there. This new "plastic like" flooring material, coupled with a plastic hangar is like skiing!! Of course, I was looking to see if anyone noticed....Yep.

Aside from the ache in my neck, I came out ok. No, I will not be suing.

I have never fallen down in a store previously, how about you?

Not fallen in a store - but I caused a guy to fall over in Penn Station.

He was running through the crowd, and as he was going by got one of his arms caught in the shoulder strap of my bag (The bag was full of books from work and rather heavy) and sent him staggering into a woman walking the other way.

i once fell down a set of stairs in a store. It was a basement store, had narrow, thin steps going down to the shop, and i was looking around downstairs when I spotted an old boyfriend of mine. I panicked and started to run up the stairs only to trip and fall down 6-8 steps (when he saw me fall he burst out laughing). I was MORE than horrified and left the shop immediately!

I use to work at HBC....fell down a few times, once with the cash tray in my hands( 6wks comp), once down the escalator (which apparently can cut you up pretty good and not your clothes) and YES I worked at Timmie's, they put down that new tile floor at the one I worked at and NO fail, I'd come racing out of the back, make the corner, fly down the back of the counter, hit my azz, then slide right under the first table. That's when we HAD to wear skirts. Good news was, manager seen me do it and and after that I got a break everytime the floor was washed

I think I'm too much of a clutz, (concussion at Zellers even) to care what people think anymore.

Those plastic hangers on any floor are extremely dangerous, I even pick those up when I'm shopping now.

What impresses me most (as I work at walmart) is the fact that you went back to return/exchange the item yourself!!! you'd be amazed how many shoppers just dump stuff anywhere or demand the cashier sort their error.

I'm incredibly clumsy- this is the story of my life. :P

I remember my Junior High School had really badly designed stairs- I would fall down (or up) them at least once a month.

I tripped over a box at work and face planted during CHRISTMAS holidays, so needless to say there were plenty of people in my store to notice my damaged pride.

I think I have fallen several times in different stores .

I needed some sturdy furniture in my house because I had been using plastic lawn chairs at my kitchen table and a wobbly table in my living room. We went shopping for some stronger items.

So, my sister and I were at one store, looking around and I sat down on a small table to see how much strong it was. It was like I sat straight down on the floor! My bum touched the table for maybe 2 seconds and then my feet went flying! The table broke into about 12 pieces and my sister was cackling so loud that the whole store was looking at us..... An employee came over to make sure I was ok.

I tried to pay for the table, but they wouldn't let me. I think they were grateful for the laugh.
