I am sure this is actually an impossible question to have an answer for but how heavily do you think consular officers will weigh what is on social media vs the evidence they have in front of them? I am a very private person and hate social media in general so our pictures and stuff arent posted for the world to see. Any insight is helpful at this point. I know they are also looking for any anti-american sentiment but that is the least of my worries when it comes to my fiancee and am just concerned with relationship scrutiny.

@TomAye I don't believe I-129F asks for social media.

But the DS-160 does ask for social media account(s).

The K1 beneficiary could conceivably leave that field blank.

The only posted stories I've seen regarding social media are that the case officers are looking for consistency or discrepancy to the case presented.

For example, if the K1 fiancée is posting online the petitioner as hubby or wifey, it would invalidate the K1 visa since that would insinuate the couple is already married.

Use some basic common sense, and as @Crazy Cat suggested, don't overanalyze with mental gymnastics.

Lack of relationship evidence on social media is a non-issue.  Content that contradicts relationship validity is what would hurt.

I agree with the other responses.  There is no requirement to have a social media account (although keep in mind VJ is a social media site), and no requirement to share your life on social media.

Good Luck!
