My Uncle's naturalization interview is scheduled for November 6 (N400 filed in November last year). Unfortunately, he was charged with a DUI last weekend and has retained a DUI attorney. His first court date is on November 4, but the matter will not be resolved by then.

Given the current political climate - should he proceed with the interview, request to reschedule, or withdraw his N-400 application?

If he reschedules, will USCIS allow him to choose a new date, or will one be assigned?

If he contacts USCIS, what should he say to avoid negatively impacting his case?

Thank you so much!

I'd talk to an immigration attorney. The case doesn't seem DIY

It would be rescheduled at USCIS's convenience by USCIS.
