Oh, I put my foot in the ground-gopher's hole.

The ground-gopher said, "Lord bless my soul!

So I took my foot from the ground-gopher's hole.

The ground-gopher said, "Lord bless my soul!

You are welcome in this rodential hole, and if you hang around and contribute enough, you'll get a official nickname, si man.

Thrilling Friday non-ES report, see man:

Many'th (2+2th) consecutive day of record-high temperatures, Texas weather Many but sadly over now man.

Breakfast/lunch was onecan of tuna, ingest we man.

Timing is everything, si and :bonk: man.

We had just opened the lid and were preparing to consume the contents when the phone rang, si man.

We had to take the call, important man.

Miu (already well-fed) jumped on counter and became actively interested in the tuna, typical miu man.

We had to juggle phone and tuna can while off-fending intensely interested miu, :girlwerewolf2xn:  man.

We ended up hastily ingesting the tuna over the sink at overhead level while off-fending aforementioned miu, such culinary ambiance man.

We got our carcass on the ES trail well after Many (2x2x2 +2+1) a.m., quite suboptimal man.

The first 2 ESs were in an area where we hadn't been in ages, nice change man.

The Many'rd ES was WAY remote from that but run by our favorite ES people, worth going man.

Sadly, the Many'rd ES was a resounding dud, oh well man.

We did attend a very nice Aldi and rather deserted Mexican-oriented supermarket, everyone busy at work man.

We then needed to retrieve Mini-B. from skool, wee man finished make-up Debate final early man.

(Mini-B. scored Many [Many00 -2-2] -- si man, Many [Many00 -2-2], proud we man.)

We first stopped by the casa, inspect progress we man.

Crew had sided everything and had applied first paint coat to part of it, dazzling yellow man.

This is going to look quite striking when all done, sadly not till Monday man.

We were not too late in retrieving Mini-B., not-too-grumpy wee man man.

For din-din, we gave him his choice of BK, Jack in the Box, or Subway, all active coupons man.

Mini-B. chose Subway*, purchase we man.

     *WUOC, F$WM

We took this provender to ex-Mrs.-T-B.'s casa, not there ex-she man and ingest Two Guys man.

Orange mini-miu was thrilled to see his father and grandpa, thrilled orange mini-miu man.

We then semi-dozed while Mini-B. gamed on the big TV screen, semi-doze we and game wee man man.

We returned to our casa just before dark, crew just leaving man.

We are quite impressed with the work so far, pleased we man.

Serviced outraged miu, Where Were You Daddy And Why Is Service So Delayed miu man.

Caught up on many e-mails and intensely desired a siesta, zzz-needing we man.

Then Mama T-B. phoned, over half an hour man.

Attempted brief siesta had not the faintest chance of success, no zzz we man.

No party with the rubias tonight, no cavort we man.

Weather supposed to suck Saturday, cold wind rain man.

(We hope that the casa-crew can paint, uncertain man.)

We have itineraried Many (2+2+2) ESs for Saturday, far more proximal than Friday's man.

We must also visit Mama T-B., usual duties man.

And that was/is our thrilling Friday, report we man.

My ear still hurts, how long is a busted eardrum supposed to hurt gees.

My shoulder is sore too. I need to try out my new pillow but it hurts my ear so I can't yet. Hence the shoulder hurting.

For the past many months my right neck and shoulder have really been bothering me.  I'm sure it's occupation/posture related.  I keep trying to treat the muscle pain with icey hot or biofreeze but it's only temporary relief.  The time spent away from work over the holidays helped a lot but started acting up again when I got back to the routine.  Heat has been helping the most.  Just started trying an old neck/back stretcher the my wife used to use and that seems to provide almost instant relief.  I'm starting to think I have a bulging disk or pinched nerve in my neck.  Guess it's time to go have this looked at.

Find an orthopedist or sports-medicine doc to diagnose it through range-of-motion tests and your concomitant pain levels, si man.  Urge doc to inject you with meat-tenderizer, si man, with use of ultrasonographic guidance, crucial man.  Blind injections MIGHT help but also might not help, personal experience man.

Heat helps with range of motion but cold kills pain, si and sigh man.  Oral prednisone is a wonder med but only on a VERY short-term basis, hose adrenal gland otherwise man.

Regarding our shoulder (see recent rants), our P.T. lady noted inflamed deltoid muscle, either affecting or being affected by the subdeltoid bursa, conclude she man.  She told us to see doc (orthopedist) for X-ray to see how much arthritis we were graced with, getting old sucks man.  Doc said X-ray showed almost no arthritis, tested range of motion, and determined that the AC joint was hosing the deltoid, conclude he man.  He used ultrasound and shot us with methylprednisolone + lidocaine + something else for (optimally) Many-month relief, so far excellent man.

Report back, si man.
