Interview was scheduled today! I don't know the date yet...so excited! I wish everybody else on this thread the best of luck

Im helping a parent apply. We applied Aug 26th (via mail and paid by check). Using your timeline, I assumed and hoped, that an invite for interview would be forthcoming about 1 week after you got yours. Sure enough, we got it today! Scheduled for Nov 14th. 5 year rule. We shall see how it goes. Best of luck to everyone else too!

Amazing that this is going very fast for most of the August filers under the 5 year rule. Congratulations to you all.

I'm also an August filer, submitted 08/21/ online, biometrics reuse, last update at 09/20/, Dallas FO.

Hoping to get this over with as soon as possible, travelling in Dec.

Oh that's so funny, I too submitted on 8/21, biometrics reuse and my last update was on 9/20. My FO is San Fernando Valley, but I'm under the 3 year rule (had my GC since 12/2021).

Marriage-based AOS Timeline:

Aug 11: Sent packets to USCIS - I-130, I-130A, I-485, I-864, I-765 and I-131

Aug 15: USCIS received packets

Aug 17: Checks cashed, NOA sent

Aug 30: Biometrics is scheduled

Sep 23: Biometrics taken, status updated to "USCIS is actively reviewing your case"

Oct 8: RFE for Birth Certificate (it was submitted with initial packets), submitted evidence online

Oct 9: USCIS received evidence and will resume processing my case

Nov 5: Interview was scheduled!

Dec 8: Interview day!!!
Dec 8: I-130 and I-485 approved!!!

Dec 16: Received GC

I too have plans to travel in Dec. I am curious to know how it will work out.
For example: How soon would we get an oath ceremony after an approval?

Can we travel between the interview and oath ceremony?

How long would a passport take to arrive?🙃

Well wishes to us all on this journey🤞🏾.

I don't think it should stop you from traveling, as long as you have a passport allows you to enter your destination.

Oath ceremony depends on the FO, some donit in 3 weeks, some up to a month, some more, others in some states do same day. It's really unpredictable.

For passport, I've read in the forum that when expedited takes 2 to 3 weeks for urgent travel happening within 6 weeks.

This can be same any time, depending on office. You can have interview, approval and oath on same day. Or it can be days, weeks and even months in between.

Yes you can. You will have to list any new international travel before oath takes place. There's going to be form to be filled. Make sure not to break your continuous residence or physical presence.
