I though it might because of the status showing “show fingerprint has been taken”. For whatever reason, and this is not set in stone or an absolute truth, all the reading and researching I have been doing since starting this journey shows that MSC cases seem to take a bit longer than IOE. Like I said, a lot of this is anecdotal and from reading other's accounts of their timelines. Don't sweat it too much, it will happen soon enough! :)

I believe that to be true. I'm an msc number and I filed beginning of July 2024, had biometrics done beginning of September 2024 and my status just now updated on July 9th that the case is ready to be scheduled for an interview. Someone else, also Detroit field office, filed 3 months later and actually had an interview scheduled in June. So there seems to be a 4-6 months delay with msc numbers. My guess is because it's old fashioned paperwork sitting physically on someone's desk vs files online.

So 4 months is nothing!

Most will be in the 3 to 6 months range

3-6months for now or from my filing date? If it’s from now that seem like a ridiculous time line bro. I swear this government is annoying

That would be quick. My status updated more than 12 months after filing, and it only says 'ready to be scheduled for an interview'. Who knows when they will actually schedule the interview. You are going to need patience. The EAD and AP should be quicker.

Nobody knows. USCIS has a specific date on which 98% of your group should be processed after which you can inquire (you said somewhere in August for that), but processing has slowed down significantly in the past few months.

Hey, any update? I am in the exact same situation with my wife. I was about to start a new thread but this is identical to us. Please update your timeline @narayan333

For my wife, its been 135 days. Its been 78 days since the "Check Case Status" page was updated with her biometrics. We tried to submit an inquiry, but it says we can't until September.

Her green card status has been "Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview" since May 28th.

It just concerns me that we have had 0 update in over 2 months.

Hey @PokuPoku we haven’t heard anything from uscis about my wife work permit. It’s been over 100 days now. For her green card it says they need more info so they sending a paper out with what they need so we waiting for that. This has taken way too long.

We had a RFE too, but that was soon after we submitted the application.

For my wife and step daughter, their RFE was accepted a few days before their biometrics were updated, so around May 15th. So even if they didn't start processing their case until may 15th, thats still 3 months.

3 months is like 3 days in USCIS world. Literally, if you think it like that. It takes on average a month go get receipt notice when filing by mail. In normal world, it would be one day.

12 months for AOS is not out of ordinary. That's why I always suggest going CR-1 route, but many think their AOS will take 3 months max.

I hope you get the updates soon! When can you submit inquiry?
