Below is message sent to Senator's office and the response they got.  Family is already here in Jax Florida. We contact USCIS and they only have information on I130 case which is of course closed, They say we need Receipt number from I360 which we never got.  We have contacted NVC twice with inquiry and have gotten no reply from them.  A school friend of one of the kids arrived a month before our family, also from the Philippines, and they were called in for another interview and JUST got their cards. What is going on?

Family never received these emails or documents and especially failed to receive a RECEIPT NUMBER for the IW 1 . They arrived in USA in Atlanta, GA on November 21, 2024.  USCIS states can not find information, need RECEIPT NUMBER. NVC contacted over a month ago,Congressman office 2 months ago,  still no response.  Family still have not received I551/Green Cards.

Are you sure about that?  That would be extremely outside normal processes.

I am sure, her family was here for graduation party and verified that this happened.

Are you say that people who entered via immigrant visas were required to report for another interview after entering the US? Or did they have to just provide biometrics?

I am not sure, They just said they had to go for another interview. I thought biometrics are done at the embassy before they come?

They are....but sometimes a Green Card holder will have to get biometrics done after they arrive in the US due to unclear fingerprints.  What DOESN'T happen is a Green Card holder getting called back in for an interview after arriving.  Who would even conduct an interview??

My family? Yes  I paid all that before they traveled.

So what does the online status say when you check using the receipt number? And did you report the cards as not received before contacting the senator? If so, what was the response from USCIS?

As above, sometimes they have to be redone. When we arrived, 3 of us got GC’s within 6 weeks but my daughters never arrived. We reported it as not received and USCIS got back to us and said it was because her biometrics weren’t good enough. So they made her an appointment to go to a local field office and have them redone.

Maybe the family is confusing an appointment with an interview.

That is our big problem, We never got a receipt number for the I360 as we were notified by the Senator's office that the I130s were converted after my son's death. USCIS says they need number to check and NVC does not respond.

Did you pay uscis for green card issuance AFTER you've received immigrant visas? If you haven't, that's the issue. Pay it and get the green cards.
