  1. Newest update! They have all been approved and only Ruby needs new NBI with married name.
  2. Ouch, so if they do not have a record of any prior shots, do they give all of them. I counted 7 required vaccines needed for the kids. Poor thing, did she have any adverse effects from that?

  4. Is the CFO still available to do online, or do they have to travel to Manila again? Also is there a class the 15 and 12 year olds have to take? Thanks.
  5. I understand that the stamp placed in their passports when entering the US, serves as green card until the real deal arrives. My question is: can they travel from PI to US, go through POE, spend the night, and then proceed to Mexico. I have a house in Cozumel, Mexico and due to lack of housing in the states until a later date, I wanted to bring them there for a couple of months.
  6. On my family;s St Luke;s list is "Letter with Case Number", what exactly are they talking about. In their packets are the St Luke appointment letter and Embassy appointment letter. What other letter do they mean?
  7. Thank You, I am going to call them immediatley. Gotta get passport #s from my notes...they ask for that for some reason. I do think there is a goof up somewhere. It was my senator who even found out that the case was already converted and they were waiting for her to make appointments. There is one who turned 21, but they said his age was frozen at 17 when we first started this. All 3 of the 4 lawyers had copies of the Noir and were aware it was because my son passed. But they all said the IW! cas would over ride it, one atty that I wanted to hire said, she was not needed unless they were denied at interview for some reason
  8. Not Exactly, He was in Tampa area when his accident happened, and the family had already been approved to move forward with interviews when he passed away. He was working their new home. The family does have a home in Subic and some farmland elsewhere, where he once tried his hand at farming.
  9. The NVC will contact you to let you know what documentation or fees you must provide. You will then have to complete Form DS-260, Online Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration Application. All this was already done. They are approved for interviews already. It was after NVC did this that the 3 kids got the Noir. It has been over a month, and nothing more on the other 2. The case is already an approved IW. I am mostly worried that they will not get the packet with the response to the Noir, and where she did state that it was planned for her and my son to care forme, as I am disabled and really need the help., They had been approved for expedite due to that.
  10. Read further to Counselor processing, Consular Processing If you are applying for a green card from outside of the United States, you will do so through consular processing at your local U.S. embassy or consulate. If your U.S. citizen spouse had already filed Form I-130 on your behalf before their death, U.S. immigration officials would convert your Form I-130 into a Form I-360 petition. If your spouse hadn’t already filed Form I-130, you’ll have to submit Form I-360.
  11. I wanted to place the seperate questions where they had a better chance of being answered, Not only Filipinos become widows!
  12. LOL, Thanks. Yes he went to school and University in States. He was contractor, Military Support. His SSA survivor benefits are basically lost to wife and kids, there is a 5 year residence requirement. His kids are step but he was only Dad they know for 14 years.
  13. Thank You, but I probably know that by heart now. It is the incident of receiving a NOIR while the case is at Embassy as IW already. 3 of the 4 kids got them, but DIL and oldest kid did not. Trying to find someone who had an IW case but also received NOIR.
  14. Yes LOL he married a much younger gal, she was 2 years older. My son was Filipino, adopted as a baby. Also married a Filipina. Do you remember anything that you have read about it?
  15. Does anyone have experience with IW1 (widow) case with derivitives? Please post.
  16. Does ANYONE have experience with NOIR due to petieioner death?
  17. Well I hope you are right and the other 3 lawyers are right. I mean, the one said I did not even need a lawyer. But until USCIS clarifies it, I am not sending the family to Manila. I just wonder if there is a time limit for them to have their interviews.
  18. LOL Yes I was. Really racking my brains with this stuff, out of 4 lawyers, he is the only one who scared me. Guess we just have to wait and see.
  19. Hi everyone. Well we are still dealing with the crazy immigration nuthouse! I have several questions, some should propably be asked elsewhere, but I will try. OK a few months ago our senetors office had contact with USCIS and NVC. They had evidently aknowleged my son's deat back in October and had converted the cases to IW1 with dirivetives and supposedly sent instructions for interviews. We never received it, so we were in the dark. OK, so we jump for joy. But then in August we got NOIRs on 3 of the kids, but not on my DIL or her oldest. So I contacted 4 lawyers, and a level one agent who went and asked a level 2, if the IW1 case overided the Noirs and all said yes and the lawyer I wanted to hire even said we did not need her because they are all ready for interviews, but I was advise to respond to the NOIRs. I attemped over and over to respond online, but documents would not upload. OK next I get tec support at USCIS who email and say they are aware of the problem and are working on it. So instead I sent a packet by UPS with a letter from DIL requesting clarification. In addition we sent both the I864W that waives need for that proof, but to be safe, also sent one from me. Also sent a copy of the summary page on NVC that showed it now as IW1 with the 4 kids on her case. It was received at the Capito Height's clearing center and supposedly then it goes to USCIS. I keep checking but the USCIS still shows Noir status. I was told allow 60 days which will be November 6, but the need to respond by date is Oct 29, so I am worried. Any advice or experince with Noirs here? Next, we are told to go ahead and make their appointmnets, but I am scared to spend Thousands of $$ to put them up in Manila for 5 or 6 days, pay for exams, etc, just for them to actually revoke the kids approval's. Is the a certain time limit that we need to make the appointment? Then the CFO, how does that work and where do they do it? There is my DIL, the widow, then a 21 yr old boy, 18 yr old girl, 15 yr old boy and 11 year old boy. Do they all need to attend and when should we do it. I am hoping to schedule everything in January once this is cleared up, and travel in June? Will that be ok? Since they are listed on her case where you make the appointments, will it be just one for all of them? Can I also take them to my house in Mexico before they have their actual green cards, or on vacation? One more stupid question, has anyone traveled long haul with a pet? She has my sons little dog and is not about to leave him. Sorry this is so long, but it is a funny situation.
  20. My DIL and grandkids were converted to IW1 and are ready for exam and interviews. The problem is that we got 3 NOIRs on 3 of the kids, Lawyer said just respond that case is already converted. We wrote a letter and are sending copy of the conversion from NVC. but the website keeps saying unable to upload documents, try again later. Has anyone else had any problems?
  21. Please, can someone who has already done the above, answer me?
  22. They are IW1 and IW2 because my son passed away, so I don't know what difference that may take.
  23. I do not understand about visa expiring, before interview? I thought Visa issued after interview and then good for 6 Months to travel?
  24. I know the cards are from the US, I was just wondering how long they take. Everything will be paid up before traveling.
  25. Does anyone know how long it is taking to receive green cards after arriving in US from PI? Can they travel out of the country prior to receiving cards, as in a cruise or to visit me in Mexico?
