Hello,

We are thinking of travelling to Las Vegas to get married after I arrive in the US on the K-1 Visa. Has anyone went to any of the little chapels to get married and if so, can you recommend any ?? We would like something that has a little more class then the "elvis" chapel or the drive thru one

We don't want some big event at one of the hotels, just something small and personal for us and a few of our family and friends (10-20 people) ...

K-1 VISA
08-05-06 - Married in Sycamore IL

AOS / EAD
08-24-06 - AOS/EAD mail to Chicago (Day 1)

11-06-06 - GC & Welcome Letter arrive in Mail (Day 75)

I-751
09-23-08 - Sent Package via USPS (Day 1)
01-02-09 - Received GC in mail (with wrong Resident Since date) (Day 101)

I've personally been married at the Candlelight and thought it was a very nice chapel. Not expensive and not too cheesy. This was about 16 years ago but the site looks like it's still pretty nice.

We got married at the Excalibur. I really liked them. Also another chapel that is good is Little Chapel of the Flowers. They should be a little less expensive than the Excalibur

Hi

I know you mentioned you did not want to have a big hotel wedding but I thought I would tell you that we got married at Treasure Island, just us and our 3 kids. The chapel was nice (not cheesy in the least) and I liked the convienence of being able to stay at the same hotel. We took the cheapest package which ran us just under $700 (I did not need all the bells and whistles of the more expensive packages). The reason we picked it was the fact they had intenet broadcast capability and most of our families could not be there. I was also impressed at the photography offered. I had thought about doing it at "The Little White Wedding Chapel", but after being in vegas, was really glad I hadn't as those chapels are down at the far end of the strip and away from the nice picture taking spots (ie. the Mirage volcano, the Venetian, etc). The reactions I had from family who watched over the internet were very positive and it was commented on how "nice" it was. The chapel does not offer reception services, just weddings, so no sales pitch to do a full package.

Congrats and hope it goes well.

Drive down the Strip, you will see plenty of chapels. That is what we did when I married my ex! It was fun! I think we went to the Little White Chapel or something like that!

oooo... we're getting married in Vegas too, but our plan was to jump out of an airplane.

Vegas is a very wedding-friendly city. You could do one of the little chapels, one of the casinos, or you could have a minister meet you and your party out in the desert or something. It's the best place for creative weddings around.

Lots of stuff on google if you look for "weddings" and "las vegas".

That sounds right what I've been looking for! I just looked at the website & they make no mention of the broadcast capability (unless I missed it, which is possible)....they have that all set up there? Or are you talking like you brought a webcam and a laptop?

Hi LisaD,

On the TI website, under the weddings page, there is a link called "live weddings". You can actually watch some if they have opted to broadcast. Once we booked our wedding, they sent us an email link to the subcontractor that actually does all the photography and videography...Cashman Professional. I think the cost for 30 days of webcasting was about $60. This is the same place that you order your pictures from and I must say I was pretty impressed by the quality considering you only have about half an hour after the wedding to get them done. They will email you a web link to your pics a day or two after the wedding and a contact sheet in the mail after that. You can buy your video from them as well.

Webcasting is actually pretty awesome, we ended up watching it a couple of times after the wedding and those who couldn't watch it live (cause we got married xmas eve) were able to see it when it was convienent.

Hope that helps and best of luck

:)

We didn't marry in Vegas but went there on our honeymoon... Just a piece of advice if your SO is from the UK and not used to that kind of heat make sure you aren't there during the summer.. Unfortunately we were there last July during that horrible heat wave and it was too hot. Otherwise its a wonderful romantic place to start your lives together... Good luck!!
