Hi all, it has been a long time since I posted here as we had been waiting on her N-400 notification. My wife found out that she is getting a notification for her N-400 interview in the mail shortly. What are some of the things that we need to know before going to the interview, and what documents will she need to bring with her?

The mail will list the documents.

In general, she needs to bring all of her old passports and any ID cards issues by USCIS. Bring tax return transcipts for the past 3 or 5 years depending on what rule you're applying under.

If it's 3 year rule based on marriage, you need to bring updated marital evidence.

In 2021, her passport that had the original K1 visa expired and had to have it renewed. The consulate that dealt with her passport renewal took the older one away and only has her new one.

She cannot bring what she doesn't have. But she can bring all she has. Most likely won't be needed, but may be requested.

We will bring our 10 month old baby. Good enough?

Be advised that some officers may get rather annoyed with kids while others happy and excited. I wouldn't bring the kid if you can avoid. Is your I-751 approved? If not, I heard of the following possible scenario... Kid starts crying, IO asks one spouse to wait in the corridor, effectively turning it in stokes interview...

I don’t know if things have changed since I did mine but the interview as I know is mostly about the civil questions and once you pass you’re good to go. When I did mine, I was asked if I wanted to take the oath the same day and I said yes so I waited and did it the same day. She should remember to go with her green card.

This may be helpful.  Make sure she has studied the civic questions!

Good Luck!
