Hi all,

I mailed my 129f packet on 7/25/07 to the Vermont Center. I confirmed reciept on 7/27/07...I still haven't received an NOA1 yet!! Am I just being impatient? I see that majority of recent 129f filers received their NOA1's within a week. Now I'm getting worried that I did something wrong! I want to call, but my fiance thinks if I start bothering them now, they will for sure put it at the bottom of the pile!

Any help or advice anyone can give me on this would be appreciated!

Thanks and have a great day! :D

I would say you are being impatient. Right now everything is backed up bc people were trying to beat the increased fees. So now there is this sudden increase which slows things down. Remember, VT is not really a long waiting time either way when you compare it to those who are going or have gone through CSC.

Actually, there didn't seem to be a huge increase in petitions like many people feared.

Those going thru VSC are just upset now because they aren't going to get the 4 week file I 129f .... approved, visa in hand entering USA anymore.

1/27/2007 Nerissa told me she received a ltr on Friday 26th from USE in Manila telling her they had our petition. I'm sure that's a GREAT thing.

4/16/07 Medical scheduled

4/23/07 Interview 7:30 YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2/21/2007 She tells me in Yahoo msngr and then in an email that she DOES NOT want to come to USA because of her family who will suffer if she is not there

She said YES!!!!! We are back in the med/interview schedule. After a few months I realized I couldn't live without her. I wooed her back and now she is coming to USA after interview.

7/1/-19/2007 Medical finished for both

yes; both anecdotal evidence and the stats in here show no July rush... as was said somewhere else: it's not really the sort of thing you CAN rush, in most cases; you're either ready to file or you're not... sure; I bet there were a few people who were planning to wait for some reason and then changed their minds because of the fee increase, but I can't imagine it would be many; how many of us were planning to wait to file? most of us just got engaged and started making plans and filed when we had our stuff together

and certainly the VJ stats indicate a pretty standard month

so the VSC slowdown remains a mystery...

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

For me I don't mind the wait...never did expect a 4 week approval anyways...however....it WOULD be nice for VSC to explain a bit WHY the huge change when sooo many were used to it the fast way. Just a bit of information would go a long way to sooth the worries and finger nail bitting many of us VSC'ers are experiencing. If there is a backlog I'd like to know and know what it is that is slowing me down from being with my SO. Maybe information on what they are doing to fix it and a time frame of when we can expect this to be brought back up to speed....or something. ANYTHING is better than the quiet anticipation. I mean...come on....3 approvals in TEN days.....does make you wonder what is going on.

I think it comes down to a more balanced split in where petitions are sent. I believe before the VSC received much fewer petitions than the CSC ever did. That is no longer the case.

but they must surely be working on something else right now, for so few approvals... has anyone else read through the thread started by HuskerKiev, back in February? he used to work at Nebraska Service Center and he posted a LOT of detail about the process; so enlightening :)

(if anyone would like to read it, go here... he left after a bit, so the last few pages are mainly unanswered questions, but it's still really worth a read :) )

Exactly. VSC is getting far more petitions now, the 2 service centers will hopefully balance out.

so the VSC slowdown remains a mystery...

Not really. VSC now processes half the applications, therefore casuing a slowdown to be more like CSC times.
