Hi all,

I mailed my 129f packet on 7/25/07 to the Vermont Center. I confirmed reciept on 7/27/07...I still haven't received an NOA1 yet!! Am I just being impatient? I see that majority of recent 129f filers received their NOA1's within a week. Now I'm getting worried that I did something wrong! I want to call, but my fiance thinks if I start bothering them now, they will for sure put it at the bottom of the pile!

Any help or advice anyone can give me on this would be appreciated!

Thanks and have a great day! :D

Deyoungting,

Yes...you're just being impatient... Hang in there...you probably weren't the only petitioner to file in time to beat the fee-increase deadline...

I can certainly understand your impatience :). We've all been there, but just chill for a little while. Every step of the way, it has taken forever for each NOA to get in my mailbox. It can be due to a number of factors. If you wrote a personal check you can see if it has cleared your bank and possibly get the case number off the back of it. That's what we did while waiting for NOA1. You can look up your case number on the USCIS website.

ditto...the best indicator would be checking to see if they CASHED your check.

Just so you do not feel lonely, my petition was also received on 7/27 at VSC, I have not received a NOA1 yet, and my check has not cleared.

You might want to monitor The July Filer Progress. Also, go to Attention July Filers. As of this moment, no one who had their petition delivered to VSC after 7/24 has received a NOA1 yet.

Also send a message to weedebz with your specifics so she can add you to the spreadsheet.

Good luck on your journey.

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

I remember it wasn't too long ago when those who were going through VSC were getting NOA2 approvals in under a few weeks. While those of us who went through CSC were waiting 3 months or longer. Those VSC'ers were tooting their horn quite loudly all the time at how fast they were approved. Remember those days?

No. I don't remember those days. I remember people sharing joy about being approved, NOT rubbing it in. I do, however, remember lots of bitter CSCers who couldn't be happy for the VSCers.

Can I suggest checking out the July Filers thread as well - WeeDebz has worked ever so hard putting together a July Filer spreadsheet that you can be added to (if you ask her nicely ;D) so you can check out how July Filers are getting on in the different service centers as well as how people who filed around the same time as you are doing :)

Look forward to seeing you there!

I do but I think most people were hoping for CSC to speed up to match VSC and not VSC to slow down :blink::bonk:

Hang in there. It takes time and when you are half way though it all you will see how time just kinda flew by. Well at least thats how I feel. Maybe because I made several trips in between the wait. Give it some time and things will play out.

I don't want to bum you out but I mailed my packet in April. It was received May 1st and although online it reflects 5/1 I didn't receive a paper NOA1 in the mail until 2 weeks ago. 101 days and no NOA2 now.

I mailed to TSC and it was forwarded to CSC. I'm curious where I am in line. Everything on this site makes me think I should be getting something any day now but the USCIS website says CSC is processing applications received Jan. 13th!

Anyone on here received an NOA2 from CSC who applied April/May timeframe?

I know it feels futile but I would urge everyone here to write letters to congressmen, etc - weekly. This whole process is ridiculous in the way no real information is provided. There's got to be a way to let those in charge feel some frustration too.

Our USCIS Journey:

4/19/07 - I-129F sent to TSC

8/26/07 - email notice that case approved with NOA2 date 8/24

11/8/07 - Interview Date. Visa received by courier same day.

11/22/07 - Arrival US

12/27/07 - Wedding date (civil)

1/17/08 - Sent off package for AOS/EAD/AP

3/15/08 - AP received

3/17/08 - EAD card received

5/13/08 - AOS approved!

5/17/08 - Wedding date (ceremonial - in Korea)

5/23/08 - Greencard received in mail. Good for two years

2/2/10 - I-751 Petition to Remove Conditional Status package sent

5/7/10 - Greencard received in mail. Good for ten years

8/8/11 - N-400 package sent

10/27/11 - N-400 Interview. Passed!

12/9/11 - Oath ceremony. Citizenship at last!

3/29/12 - US passport issued
