Did anyone notice the huge change in processing time updates on the USCIS website after the update yesterday? My time went from 2 weeks to 14 months! I am wondering if they are finally giving more accurate times?! I filed in December 2023.

I don't believe in these numbers. You can roll a dice and get a better estimate. Jumps from few days to several months and back are fairly common based on regular VJ reports.

I figured the 2-week thing was too enthusiastic but I panicked when I saw 14 months because we are almost 5 months in now...

Never trust that processing time since we all know how USCIS work :).

It jumps up and down, but trust me, adding evidence doesn't change anything in reality. The truth is, nobody is looking at the case for months. It's sitting in the queue and can be updated with new evidence as much as you want. The whole review by human takes 20 mins after a long wait.

Perhaps they refreshed their random number generator?

Sounds about right 🤣

I'm a fellow December 2023 filer too.

My processing time went from 6 months-5 months-4 months-3 months (it stayed at 3 months for 2 months) and now it is at 7 months.

I wouldn't pay any attention to how long it says on USCIS because all you are gonna do is get excited and become disappointed when they add more time.

Thanks... I am done with the anxiety, I teach at an international school in Honduras and my husband and I plan on leaving together when he gets the visa, the embassy here is sometimes slow, and I am trying to figure out if next year will be my last at the school.
