Job changes?

Hello all so If my USA partner were to job change before NOA 2 how would we go about that? They are not finding their current workplace to be okay anymore, It has been very stressful for her. I read up that it can cause issues?

 

What should be done or how would we go about this?

 

Another thing to add is she wants to go for a job that may be temporary or anything really so income will be very less / not reliable in terms of staying in that job so may have to find another job after?

The USC is free to change jobs at any times.  This should not impact your case unless the new job puts her below the HHS income requirements.

How would we go about the job changes? We once tried calling their phone line and it just gave us a bot instead of a representative 😕

There's nothing to do. US citizen can switch jobs any time.

u will take the IRS transcript (as is with old job and W2's) plus letter from new employer with start dates of the new job and salary with pay stubs to the interview

Don't worry about notifying USCIS at this point.  When the petition gets to the consulate via NVC, she will need to fill out her current employment history as well as disclose her income.

P.S.  Since the process is heavy for the USC at this point, you may suggest for your fiancé to set up a VJ account for any specific questions she may have for this part of the process.

There’s no need or requirement to update USCIS about a job change.

If the beneficiary makes a job change they can update that information when they submit the DS160 and go to the interview.  The I129F is a snapshot in time when filed with respect to employment history of the petitioner and beneficiary.

Once you get to the interview stage, the US citizen will fill out form I-134. Along with that form, they'll gather evidence of their ability to support you financially, including IRS tax transcripts, a letter from their employer verifying salary, and/or a few recent pay stubs. They can scan and e-mail that to you, and you'll submit it with other required documents at the interview.

The flowchart and K1 visa guide give a really detailed overview of the entire process, including giving you an idea of what to expect at each stage. Since you're in the waiting portion right now, it's a great time to become an A+ student in immigration. Depending on the country all ours had to be original IRS transcipts and same for most of the doucments but showing fiancee US residency can be a copy of state ID or DL 

 

but, again,  this seems to be embassy dependent
