Hi everyone! I have been searching everywhere with no luck for an answer so I have come here.

We have submitted our petition for k1 visa,  received NOA 2 and paperwork has been sent to the Consulate in Casablanca Morocco. We have paid the fee for the DS 160 as well. The website https://portal.ustraveldocs.com still does not show any dates for interview or any progress on our case.

So I ask, does anyone have any insight how long it takes to get an interview or who I can contact to obtain an interview for my fiancé?

I would greatly appreciate as we feel stuck and frustrated because there is no communication from Consulate or NVC.

There's a pretty significant K-1 interview backlog at the Casablanca consulate. I've seen people waiting around 4-6 months for K-1 interviews to be scheduled. The consulate schedules the interview, so that's why ustraveldocs doesn't have any information. You can try emailing K1Casablanca@state.gov, but they have not even been great about responding to that recently. It's really just a waiting game, as frustrating as it is.

Unfortunately you are just in line at this point. The wait time for an interview is 4-6+ months after your case is received by the consulate for an interview. The consulate does not take phone calls, contacting NVC does not do anything, & emailing the k1 email for the consulate isnt really getting any responses lately.

Hi There , I am a February 2022 filer. Our case has been in Casablanca since July 20 2023. Still nothing. I have tried everything and emailing the email for the K1 that was mentioned multiple times with no response. The website on Casablanca embassy states that the processing for an interview can take anywhere from 3-6 months. This January literally tomorrow will be 6 months of waiting. Unfortunately this process is a horrible waiting game. These people are playing with our lives but unfortunately its the process. I feel so helpless. Just hoping we will hear something soon since we are already at month 6.

make sure the ds 160 is filled out accurate

sorry u all wait so long but the number of visa applications has skyrocketed in the last 4 years making the wait long

1 of the issues,  in the embassy itself, is the computers (internet ) goes down often

what to do right now?

USC    make sure the 2023 tax returns are done as soon as possible as u r looking at a interview after april 15th

as soon as u prepare those taxes , make a certified copy of 1040 with the W2 and any 1099's

check out the I 134 form to see if its got a expired date on it

get proof of US residecy to the Morocan

any previous marriages, need original court papers or death certificate

the Moroccan

get your 2 criminal reports done/  don't worry that 1 says expires in 90 days,  our case sat at NVC for a year and we didn't need a new one

  • Police certificate (fiche anthropometrique) and English translation
  • Court record (casier judiciare) and English translation
  • Singlehood certificate and English translation

Ds 160 is for the Moroccan to fill out so make sure the current location is city (or town) in Morocco not the US address he will live at

Moroccan birth certificate (oriiginal ) plus English translation (don't worry that this also says expires in 90 days)
