K1 Interview completed✅✅
It went really well. We were issued 221g because we have our medical exam in May which was expected. Once we finish the medical we will be moved along hopefully.
The interview itself was really easy. We had no red flags. No age gap, no prior marriages, no kids. We had 2 seperate trips. One in Morocco -2 weeks and one in the Dominican Republic -2 months. I-134 (signature was scanned not original) & Tax transcripts was all that was needed for the sponsorship part of the documents.
Questions my fiance remembers/details about the interview:
1) Made him swear he will tell the truth& took his fingerprints
Questions:
How did you meet?
Where does she live?
Is that where you will live when you arrive in the USA?
What does she do for a living?
What do you do for a living?
When did you first meet in person?
How much time did you spend together in person? (She really liked that we spent 2 months together on our second meeting and was like 😮)
Can I see pictures of you together?
Why did you choose to meet in the countries you traveled to together?
She asked him about what countries he transited for the layover that was required for DR.
She asked a lot of questions about our travel to DR, she seemed very interested and she made a joke about how she had seen too many Morocco pictures that day so he handed over our DR photo album. She asked him how he liked it, etc. She looked at the whole album very closely & my fiance thinks mostly out of curiosity.
As she was looking at our evidence “What language do you communicate in English or Spanish?â€

In the end she gave him the 221g form and the aramex instructions on how to send it back. My fiance then said “my fiance said to ask you about the next steps will you recommend us for approval?†She said he needs to send the medical back first with his passport via aramex. |

Timeline Comments: 6Pls who knows how long it takes for NVC to schedule an interview appointment in 2021after all the documents is been approved?

@Y-R We had no choice but to do it in May. There are only 3 doctors. One of which is always on vacation (Fihri) We called 90x a day for an appointment and were told we would be called back. Didnt happen. Securing a medical date has been the absolute worst part of this process and that should say a lot. My fiances brother had to go to the doctor in person and request a date (they even argued) May 2nd was the earliest they had. I hear earliest appointments available right now are June. They are backlogged/slammed

We filled out the DS 160 already in advance but I know we’re gonna have to do it again because it expires in 30 days how long until you got your welcome letter email sent so that you could submit all of your documents? How long with the MVC sent it to the consulate did the consulate send your email welcome letter.?

I dont know what you mean by NVC welcome letter there is no welcome letter. You only get an email from NVC saying that your case was sent to casablanca. As for the DS160 once you submit it it doesnt expire for a year. We completed the DS160 more than 30 days before our interview and were fine.
